I made a thread before fall camp saying the same thing. This class is filled with a lot of guys who were rated low but can really play.
So far my guys are showing out:
Tim Jordan
Josh Palmer
Will Ignont
Cheyenne Labruzza
Now all I need is for Ryan Thaxton to flash and I'll be 5 for 5 on guys who were under the radar that I thought would make noise in fall camp.
VQ guys said on their podcast today that early on, they are surprised by the talent and depth at running back and wide receiver. They said after watching the team they are no longer as worried about those positions. Still concerned about tight end. Mentioned the secondary is more athletic and fast than they've seen in a long time.
I'm a believer. I think we shock some people this year.
AK wasn't an every down back.
He was prone to fumbling.
Hurd was on pace to break rushing record as a junior so he must have been doing something right.
In order to use AK effectively you had to be creative in how to get him the ball.
The offense did pretty well in the two years AK was here.
The "Kamara was underutilized" argument is sooooo overstated by this fan base.

The meat and potatoes of my question is this.
Is Saban a hated enough man that enough customers will shy away from his dealership and it will fail?
Those only work if you run them sparingly. There is a lot more to play calling than most think.
