Tennessee-Georgia replay was just on ESPNU again. It never gets old. I still rewind and watch the expressions on the Georgia fans' faces over and over and over again :)

I wouldn't have minded comforting these two distraught Georgia fans after the game:

There is so much awesome in this photo. Feel bad for the little girl... she will weep after many more TN UGA games

The guy with the gray hair is my favorite in that pic. I didn't even notice him the first time I saw it but ever since I have I can't get over the look on his face. It's the perfect combination of shock, fear, horror, and disgust.

Looks like "anonymous" SEC coaches feel the same about UF's defense as we do:

“They’re going to drop off on defense. It’s kind of an obvious thing to say, but they’re losing a lot of players who played a lot of football."

"They’ll have to invent some things to rush the passer this year, and I’m not sure if they can because Randy Shannon likes to keep things simple. It’s a lot of pieces to replace, and the biggest thing they won’t be able to do is just rush four every time. When we played them, I think they blitzed us three times, and they could do that because they could just whip you with the front four and they can’t do that anymore."

"The linebackers don’t scare you at all."

"Marcell Harris (now out for the 2017 season) has turned into a good player. He’s long, physical, gets guys on the ground and he’s grown up a lot, but he doesn’t frighten you like Keanu Neal roaming in the back end."

"Duke Dawson played at nickel last year, and if you weren’t good in the slot, your slot’s not getting open against that guy, but are they going to have to move him outside to account for (Teez) Tabor and (Quincy) Wilson leaving?"

"They’ve recruited well on defense, but not great."

"This is a make-or-break year for them on offense. They need a QB and everybody knows it."

"Antonio Callaway is a damn good player, and he has had some issues. Their top three receivers are all really good players, and (C’yontai) Lewis and (DeAndre) Goolsby are good tight ends."

"The way they change their offense week to week and the number of formations is an issue. It’s hard to replicate during the week because you know you’ll see something you haven’t seen before.”

Sounds like Stevens losing the position battle with a fellow freshman caused the move to receiver.

I remember when I said last year that Jacoby Stevens was overrated. That he lacked the athleticism to play in the secondary. And was nowhere close to a 5 star prospect. And people said I was hating.

Any of these on Tennessee? I find these interesting

Yeah. Some of the quotes are old like the first one (I swear they've used it before and it makes zero sense in context of right now) but the others look to be pretty well outdated too:

----------------------------------------
“That’s an interesting deal. I don’t think anybody outside of the building can speak to what’s going on inside, but there’s obviously some turmoil."

"That’s a talented team that should win more games than it does."

"Nobody knows who their quarterback is going to be. The (Jarrett) Guarantano kid physically, I think, can do it. I haven’t seen him play in person, but he’s got the physical tools."

"My question is, what are they trying to be on offense? I really don’t know. (Offensive coordinator) Larry Scott was at Miami under Al Golden, so will they be more pro style, or are they still going to be in the gun? A lot of questions on that."

"They lose Josh Malone, and that kid was special; just really, really good even though they didn’t have a quarterback who could throw him the ball consistently."

"I don’t know how they’ll be on defense. As everybody over there got hurt, they got really bad, and you can sit there and say it’s the coaches’ fault, but when you’re playing with second- and third-stringers in our league you’ll get gashed, especially on the back end. Vanderbilt hung (45) on them and it’s not like Tennessee doesn’t know what they’re doing."**

"They lose Cam Sutton, who is a really good player, but the safety Nigel Warrior is going to get a lot of buzz and it’s well deserved."

"Their linebackers are really bad relative to the rest of the division, so it’ll be interesting to see if that gets exposed."

"They’ll be salty up front if they can find somebody to replace Derek Barnett’s production.”
---------------------------

**That guy gets it. The guy below him talking about our linebackers might as well have just said, "The LBs back-ups, back-ups aren't very good compared to the rest of the division" but was too stupid realize he was smack talking 3rd stringers.

And the first guy... I swear I remember seeing that quote some time around after the infamous 247 article and that it has nothing to do with any new opinion of this season's team.

Link for all the teams. It's hilarious how badly some of these quotes miss (the one about Georgia locking down the state has to be another old one) while others are fairly spot on. I always wonder who makes these quotes because it's like a selection of one or two spot on assessments for each team and then a bunch of off the wall remarks that make you wonder if it was actually a fan/part time equipment manager that they interviewed. And if not are these coaches so salty at the team in question that they turn into message board level idiots when asked about a rival.

EDIT: I also know for certain I've read that quote on Eason before so some of these quotes are coming from different times rather than being super new comments.

Those are actually positive quotes from other coaches. Unlike Haney, this guy actually talked to people who weren't just giving a negative recruiting pitch. Hmm, this is what real journalism looks like? Anyway, these guys don't know what we have. Nobody does really because we're unproven. Just shows when guys like Booger say it's going to be abysmal and talk like our roster is depleted, they don't know what they're talking about

Oh I agree. I just think the LB comment is funny given the injury situation and especially so since it comes right after the guy who points out everyone was injured.

There's likely a reason Shoop and Butch recruited him as more of a Star OLB/SS than as a true safety.
