Hard for me to believe this but he said Gators no longer recruiting.

What happened there??? Kid grew up a Florida fan and now hates them (allegedly). Granted Urb was the coach of UF when he was a fan.

I'm not an Otey fan as of right now. Stays back and doesn't come up in run support. Looked to avoid contact. I want to see him more. Might have been an off day for him but I'm not sold yet.

It was one of the plays where the pocket broke down and he scrambled out to the left and tucked the ball and got caught. I thought it was a DT. Maybe I'm wrong, their DTs probably on weighed 250 pounds anyway

Senior LB - not a DT. And he wasn't tackled from behind. It was just a sack outside the pocket. He started to scramble but had nowhere to go.

I hope you're right. He absolutely can throw on the run. Way better than dobbs in that area. He can throw the ball on a rope while running to his right. It's incredible.

Which is also a part of avoiding a pass rush. He just does it differently.

I disagree. You can't run the zone read with a qb who isn't a threat. No matter how good the RB and OL are. UF in 2013 was a perfect example. We had that great OL but couldn't move the ball at all. We put up good rushing numbers that year, but not against any of the good defenses. Sure we can out talent the non P5 teams and we did do well against UGA with Worley, but that was the lone exception of our offense working well against a decent team while we ran the read option with Worley.

Looking back, we had decent rushing numbers against UGA, USCe, and Auburn, and Neal had a great average per rush against Alabama. I just don't believe that the zone read has to be a threat like Dobbs. I believe a QB like Dormady can still keep a defense honest.

The one issue with Worley was that he was either limited with arm strength, or the staff was afraid of calling certain plays. They limited the field with him. I fully expect Dormady to use the entire field, and if he can throw ropes, then the defense will stay honest.

Looked very slow on the play. Looked faster against NT though. maybe Butchna was onto something and its just that he was hesitant.

I don't care what he says or people keep trying to argue, QD is not mobile. Unless, as I said, he's improved his speed since that game, he will not be able to run a read option. But his arm more than makes up for that. Offense will have to be adjusted if he's the guy for sure. Arm talent tho is no joke
