Now someone tell me why Butch didn't do this with Alvin when he was at Tennessee?

I will never understand why he didn't play both Alvin and Jalen together on every snap. Alvin is as good as any slot receiver. Hurd was also a great receiver out of the backfield.

Butch really messed with how he under utilized Alvin Kamara.

I think it has a lot to do with the politics that were being discussed at the university. I believe there was a lot of pressure behind the scenes for Butch to keep Hurd happy. No inside info. JMO.

You don't have to be that good to be in contention for the East this year, that's what I'm saying. I think they have a good offense but defense is suspect until I see otherwise on the field. Replacing that many players won't be easy to overcome but they'll still be decent enough to give everyone in the East some problems.

When has their offense been good? What makes you think it'll be good?

Why do I believe that this group of WR's may be our best in a long time?

Offense could be really special this fall. Won't be surprised if we score just as many ppg as last fall, it'll just look a lot different. Fingers crossed the D stays healthy, if they do ATL should be a lock.

Please follow the link and watch the video. It is 12 minutes long, but it is enjoyable to watch. I have two observations:

1. Justin Gatlin ran a terrific race.

2. Usain Bolt was way more gracious than the announcers were.

You can criticize Butch for a lot of things, and I have a few, but he really walked a tightrope on this. Do I know something? No, but I have suspected this for almost a year, as soon as Hurd's family started posting I smelled a rat. That doesn't get him a pass for things he should have handled sooner, better, tougher, etc. But man, I bet he really had some pressure on him.

I like guys who can first protect my football. Do not throw interceptions an do not put it on the ground. If you have to take a sack then take the dang sack but protect my football and manage the game.

Secondly, I like guys who just win the dang game. I don't care if we dominate or what just win the game. I am good with winning by 40 or 1. Just win sucker.

Winning by 1 doesn't send the message. We need to go dominate somebody with a name. The perception nationally needs to change. If we destroy Florida this year(This won't be a strong Gator team)then things will change on the National scene.

One point wins and close victories get spun by the media as lucky. We need the respect back behind the Tennessee brand of football.

Winning by 1 doesn't send the message. We need to go dominate somebody with a name. The perception nationally needs to change. If we destroy Florida this year(This won't be a strong Gator team)then things will change on the National scene.

If we go 3-0 4-0 5-0 the narrative will be be if/when will it fall apart like it did last year. Perception won't change unless the media wants it to change. Which won't happen until the venomteers go away

Dominate some small schools instead of playing with them. Destroy teams that shouldn't be on the field with you.

I frequent some other teams boards and post on some and while I do think Florida could have a good year if they get good QB play I still see 9-3 is their ceiling this year.

What I read on their boards however and even in our around the NCAA forum is overwhelming positivity on how great the defense will be and they are now set at QB. I've looked through the recruiting and we have recruited equally well if not better for the past four years.

I must be continuing to miss it especially with all the national media love they are getting. Someone help me out.

One of the key talking points is how their defense still finished sixth nationally with all the injuries they had and a lot of guys that got playing time arr returning. Please tell me how this is different than us losing Cameron Sutton and reeves Maybin for the entire year and Kirkland essentially along with all the other injuries we dealt with.

Maybe they are a club that can go 11-1 but I don't see how you can get boat raced by Tennessee and back into the SEC championship game to then subsequently get boat raced my Alabama, lose so many starters on defense and other draft picks to the NFL, and be the clear cut favorite

I seem to recall us blowing the doors off Florida in the second half and whipping Virginia Tech (a solid brand name) in a prime time game last year. And then torching Nebraska in a bowl game. But the last half of the season after we had a bunch of injuries is all anyone remembers I guess.

I get what you are saying but I don't care if they call me lucky and I go undefeated. I can dominate games but lose a couple by a point or two who cares about the domination. Just Win Baby!

I agree with this. The Umass and Indiana States ect should be crushed. SEC games just win them all regardless.

We had struggled with Appy State. That's what was stuck in everyone's heads.

Also national media won't talk about the injuries nor do the kids see the injuries. They see losses to Vandy and SCAR.
