Poster in there insinuating a lawyer that was fired by Florida is behind this.

Hmmm. In that case UF probably WILL get hammered for this and have to dismiss all of those players, but then while we're laughing, the Spognardi thing will end up costing Butch his job somehow.

Swamp gas is a free site it looks like so I'm not buying the story from the "mod" just yet. Let's hope it's worse.

3 female credit cards and 150k???

Come on guys that isn't possible. No way the cards had 50k limits

Not many College girls have 50k credit card limits.. but that doesn't mean their daddy's credit card can't have a 50k limit.

With very solid alert systems in place for unauthorized purchases. I ain't buying it at all. At the least the amount of $ part

Either the story isn't as serious as previously thought or McElwain isn't taking it seriously. Zaire is at practice today.

But when a Tennessee player accepted money for his sick daughter's medical bills, he is not allowed to return at all by SEC/NCAA...
Time for something similar to befall the gators...

Fraud of credit cards at a public university is a federal crime I believe. There will be no boosters covering this up due to title 9 and Calloway. If this is true, their in a world of hurt.

Could have met some rich cougars/divorcees in a Gainesville bar that wanted to "get to know" UF players a little better.

In reading Swamp Gas, it does appear, at least according the people there, that this happened a little while ago and UF was already handling it internally. It sounds like they tried to sweep it under the rug, but it got out anyway. I predict no one of any importance misses any games since the first one is not their usual cupcake.

To me, the criminal aspect can go away by local authorities or some mitigation can make it go away. But if they received extra benefits from the university, then it seems to be an NCAA issue that should be investigated.
