I like the idea of having a "bank" on top of the insurance so you can slowly put money into it for when you really need it for medical expenses. The young can (if they're smart) pay a little into it and build it up over time because we all know we youngins ain't going to no doctor unless a bone is sticking out

Those plans are called High Deductible Health Plans and becoming very popular these days because they come with very low premiums

You can put in pre-tax income, and most are set up to where you can invest it in stocks, bonds, or mutual funds and let it grow. And then when you hit retirement age(and I think it's set at 65 in this case) you can start withdrawing some with no penalty, just have to pay income tax.

I like them too. You have to be involved with your healthcare again. These are the type of plans the government should be using if they insist on some massive healthcare plan. It makes you think twice about going to the doctor every time you sneeze because you have to pay that doctor bill out of your account. You also will search for a doctor that charges less for a patient that pays cash. It basically males us look at pur medical care the same way we look at the rest of our financial decisions.

So in my family you drink a lot of coffee and rub some mentholatum on your neck until they find you unconscious from that undiagnosed tumor.

You might have let the pendulum swing a little to far the other way. Somewhere closer to the middle I think.

Yeah currently on one and I'm a big fan since I'm healthy. I take a bigger hit the one month a year I my annual physical, but overall save money.

Gonna have to switch whenever I decide to have kids though, not worth it if I'm gonna hit the deductible every year lol

I never liked the guy and thought he was a big bag of nothing when it came to doing anything for our country but Obama carried himself the way you are supposed to. Of course that's easy when you have nothing else to do.

I voted for him in the general but not the primary. Too many SCOTUS appointments to risk a Hillary presidency.

He probably has 1 more selection this year and at least 2 more before his first term is over.
