Two things here:

1. You basically just called everybody who disagrees with you politically lazy and short sighted. So, um, yeah kind of the pot calling the kettle black there lol

2. My comment wasn't on the virtues (or lack thereof) of socialism. It was that your post was built around a logical fallacy.

Out of respect for others here, I'm not getting into this with you. We are on opposite spectrums politically this is completely pointless. You think I'm stupid and I think you are so misguided and ignorant that this is futile. You're not convincing me of anything as I won't you. All you want to do, as usual is argue.

This is my last post on the matter out of respect for my friends in the recruiting forum. (I promise, Sarge, this is the last one)

Socialism is one step from communism, that's factual. With every new entitlement passed, we move toward the government providing our every need. When you depend on the government to exist as many do now in this country, you are then the pawn of the government. It's occurring now, right before our eyes and so many are blind to it. The number of Americans that depend on the government for daily survival is growing day after day, year after year.

I get it, your socialist didn't get elected. You're hurting. We've had to endure 8 years of socialist agenda. We made it through it and you can too.

lol I'm a libertarian, dude. I'm hurting because no 3rd party hit the 5% threshold last election. I'm not gonna pretend I'm happy with a Trump presidency, but I got just as much enjoyment out of watching Hillary supporters cry themselves to sleep on election night as anybody.


Anyway, sorry if my pointing out that we've never had a communist president and that slippery slope arguments are a bad way to argue against systems of government triggered you. There are a lot of great, logically sound arguments against socialism out there. But "it's one step from communism" ain't one of 'em :hi:


And FTR, I think you don't consider views other than your own or allow yourself to challenge your own beliefs. But I don't think you're stupid.

I do realize we have never had a communist president before. Ever heard of illustrating a point with the extreme? You taking my post literally, gives me a chuckle.

I do consider others views and have change my point of view on many things because of others opinions on here. You on the other hand are the one that is rigid in your own views. You are very condescending and talk down to other posters. You like to be a contrarian and argue for the sake of arguing. That's why I avoid interacting with you. I suggest you do the same with me. :hi:

Normal humans understand when he says communist what he means and he doesn't have to qualify that. And actually, the one step closer to communism is not only a good acceptable point but it's the number one point. And CHINA SUCKS.

What can I say? He's a multitasker.

Not a big Trump fan. I think he could be a decent president if he'd stick to what he's supposed to be good at, making deals. I've long thought a businessman in the Whitehouse would be a good thing. I think he just gets caught up in the chafe and can't resist wallowing in the mud with his detractors.

Which most complain because CBJ won't do that. But a good timed one like what he did with Finebum is sweet.

Which a president of the greatest country on earth should never do nor feel the need to. Its embarrassing but I guess it mirrors the times, he is king of the idiots.

I do enjoy arguing. Mostly because I have a disdain for poorly written arguments and the way so many these days embrace narrative over facts.


And yeah, I do talk down to some posters. Pretty much everybody around talks down to others at some point or another. I also make a point to own up to stupid posts I make or times I'm wrong and try not to over-generalize or make too many assumptions about other posters. Like assuming someone is a socialist because they point out that we've never had a communist president lol
