But seriously, you're right about the skinny repeal bill, for right now.

But in all likelihood the bill was bound for a congressional conference committee. And if McConnell got it to a committee, the end product would look a lot different then what they've got now. If the guys first two bills had big cuts to Medicaid, it's not too much of a reach to think they'll gun for that in a committee.

First of all there are no real cuts. I know that's the way it's described but in what world does a raise in actual dollar amount count as a cut? That's like saying I cut back on drinking from a 6 pack a day to a 12 pack a day because I was planning on drinking 16 a day by now. Pfft.

They are disgusting. They have total disregard for the citizens of this country unless they personally or professionally benefit. McShame celebrating with the Dems last night for sticking one to Trump is one heckuva note to go out of this world on after posturing and lecturing others all the time about repeal. I'm sure we will learn much more about him in the coming years.

Most Americans have no idea how advanced our military and research are. In honor of the MSM, I have an unnamed source who has reassured me that a NK rocket would be destroyed either over NK or in an uninhabited area over the ocean. Conventional or laser - depends on the situation and how willing they are to let the Russians/Chinese see what we have/do. NK is just a propped up proxy of the communists and are expendable. Much of what you see from the MSM is garbage to incite angst and get attention. Imagine that.

If NK chose to continue firing, they could kiss their arses good bye.

I think our government may use this as leverage against China. Use it as an excuse to deploy missile defense systems all over the region.

We could most likely stop any missiles from hitting us.

Where things get tricky is that they might be able to hit somewhere like Japan or SK, or close enough that some radiation damage would be possible if the defense system doesn't work 100% properly.

Granted, the new THAAD defense system in SK that has ruffled NK and Chinese feathers so bad is theoretically able to stop missiles without triggering their nuclear warheads.



People here in Japan don't seem to be too worried about NK, FWIW. Everybody knows that if they ever did make a move with a nuclear weapon they'd be wiped off the face of the earth. NK knows it too. They're most likely never going to make a move with a nuke unless they're put in a position where they feel they have nothing to lose.


And China needs to take sterner steps against them, but they also don't want to rock the boat enough to ever have to worry about the possibility of a unified (South Korean) Korean Republic, because of the economic implications.

Well there kinda is an area here that a lot of rich people retire to and have huge houses. It used to be top 10 for richest neighborhoods in America. It looks like any other place with money.

The area Tua is in has huge houses with a lot of land available. It's not technically Birmingham, they live in Shelby County. The people making 70K a year or above typically live in that direction. Less taxes and a lot less crime. It's actually quiet out there.

Bham doesn't have as much money as other major cities for sure(I'm moving from here and soon)but it has SOME money and some nice areas here.

Look at Bessemer it's on the way to T-town. Also look at hotels off of 280. Easy to get to Tuscaloosa. But all of the hotels should be fine.

Seol South Korea is the most densely populated region in the world and is like 13 miles from the DM zone. That's 10s of millions of people dead in a flash. Yeah, NK would be glassed over, but do you really think that nutty fat son of a ***** is sane enough to care if the mood hits him? I don't. Also I think our capabilities to shoot down icbm's is a little exaggerated. It works sometimes at best. Plus Iran is putting satellites in orbit now with defense abilities. They freaking have weapons in space to shoot other satellites. Guess where they and China learned how? Bill Clinton. The same guy who started the whole, let them have nukes by doing nothing until it's too late thing.

All I was saying was that they've had the military capability of destroying that city for decades. Nothing new there.


When you're dealing with a maniac like Kim Jong Un, nobody really knows 100% what he'd do for sure or what his first move would be if he did use a nuke.
