I think a lot of the trollish behaviour comes from a desire or need to be thought of/recognized as intelligent...or from a self induced position of superiority. Then there's also ignorant rival fans with nothing better to do...

What I absolutely hate is when "Realists" act like they are trying to save me from harm. I don't need anyone to talk me down. I am optimistic every game. I know there are mountains to climb, tall orders and heavy odds. I also know there are upsets. Folks have talked themselves into believing UT will never upset anyone. You can be a "Realist" without being a Richard Noggin . It's all in the presentation. Go Big Orange!

Explain to me one instance where PETA has had a negative influence on your life. They may be radical but they also do more good work than most charities. I doubt they will get around to banning fishing in my lifetime but i will wait for you to come at me with how they have hurt you.

Wanted to take a moment to gush about my oldest. He is playing on the JV team in Petal (6A). He’s a freshmen but Coach Boyle’s says he doesn’t have the size to play against varsity yet. The coach won’t play any freshmen against varsity. Had a great game earlier this week. He plays Mike and Will (he rotates between both positions). He had 5 TFLs and 8 solo tackles this past game. The kid is unblockable. Makes me such a proud papa.

It is what they want to do that bothers me, thank God they haven't accomplished it yet, but every inch taken, every stupid little capitulation gets them closer to their goal. They are lunatics, and I hate them.

Yeah wanting animals to be treated ethically is the same as the genocide of Jews. C'mon man. Really what is it do you think they want to do? You sure are ready to have your "freedoms" stepped on. Sack up and quit acting like every organization has a secret agenda to make you gay and have to marry a goat.

That deflection is typical from you. I am for the ethical treatment of animals. I am not for banning hunting and fishing, and eating animals.

You know that is what they want, they have not hidden that agenda, it is not a secret.

I seriously hate PETA because of their extremist goals, but I support more common sense organizations like the aspca.

I have three kids - 11 and 9 boys. 7 girl. I know things are different from when most of us were kids (I grew up in the 80s early 90s). I used to be left home alone all the time at 8.

I work 12 hour shifts from 6-6, sometimes days sometimes nights.

I’m considering letting the 11 year old “babysit” his brother and sister. The 9 year old is very responsible also. And just asking a neighbor family who they all know if they can go to them in emergencies etc.

During days they’d be at school most of the time. At nights they’d be asleep from 9pm until I got home.

Is this a terrible plan?

Just something I’m considering. Feedback appreciated

That is not a good idea imo. I too was left at home to babysit my younger siblings at that age..it is the mercy of God that a real disaster didn't happen.

Plus if something bad were to happen, you would probably lose your kids.

Deleted..I like you. You just don't see them for what they are. I will give them credit, they have played the long game really well. They do some good things to get people like you to defend them.

They have not changed their anti-hunting and fishing agenda. They have just fooled folks like you into thinking they have.

These loons used to form up groups from Atl in the 90s during deer or Turkey hunting season when I lived in Georgia. They would find your vehicle and then walk through the woods in groups of 3-4 blowing airhorns, screaming and ringing bells..

These days it doesn't happen much, but I was babysitting my 2 year old brother when I was 10. I also went to a magnet school so my bus stop was about 5 miles away at a grocery store. My parents would drop me off 2-3 hours before the bus got there in the morning and pick me up 2-3 hours after it dropped me off at night. Nobody even blinked about a middle school kid hanging out in a grocery store and parking lot unsupervised for 4 or 6 hours a day back then.

I am a country boy, why would I not be proud of it? I am not ashamed of it no matter how much you insult me, or people like me.

I know the kind of folks you are referring to. They are just at home in big cities as they are in rural hollers. Don't preach to me about blanket generalizations when you do it too.

I love hunting and fishing, and I love animals, and support every good conservation effort I can..just like the great man in your avatar. He is one of the most underrated heroes of our history.

PETA are extremist freaks, I despise them, andcwill not legitimize anything they do because I know what they are, no matter how they try to cloak it in good works.
