that 8% is a really high actual number if you think about it and justifiably creates pause for the others. Its unfortunate.

It would add a color to my rainbow if all accusations were genuine but that's not the case. Because of 8%, we have to vet every single one to make sure it's not one of the 8%.

I'd rather let a guilty man walk before putting an innocent man in prison, an ideal called Blackstones ratio and used to be a liberal ideal. Ben Franklin echoed the actual line with "it is better 100 guilty persons escape than one innocent person suffer".

Has a lot to do with "thinking with your heart instead of your head" society we live in now. Lawyers play to the heart of the matter issues of the black and white of the facts at hand.

We do and we should strive to be better. DNA advancements have made that possible and I would argue our justice system and peers did a crappy job at asking questions, collecting evidence and understanding the term "Beyond reasonable doubt" when an innocent person is convicted

I guess I could have worded it better. I wasn’t saying innocent until proven guilty isn’t needed in court, It definitely is. Just making a general observation
