Lsu probably will smack UGA in the SECC. Close for a half then LSU pulls away to win 35-21. LSU and OSU are the two best teams in the nation and it isn’t very close. I’d be surprised if either doesn’t make it to the championship game.

Its interesting that Smart has been more successful in his first 3 seasons than Dabo, Meyer, and Saban. When Smart got to UGA the last 4 classes averaged 8th. When Pruitt got to UT the last 4 classes averaged 11th. Seems Smart is making more use of his talent than Pruitt.

That’s an interesting metric. The problem is that it leaves out aspects such as strength and conditioning, player development, continuity with a former staff. Dooley and Butch absolutely sucked at all 3 of the above aspects. Richt had been at UGA for years and developed and maintained a winning culture. Not to mention the instability of 4 coaches in 6 years.

You seem to have a disconnect with the parallels between recruiting rankings and on the field success. Classic behavior from unathletic fans that live vicariously through a geographic team they cheer for that often pulls talent from areas that are only there to showcase their skills in an attempt to get to the next level. Those of us that have competed in sports realize there’s more to sports than potential based on an arbitrary ranking system by other unathletic fat guys that learned the game by playing it on a console. Just saying

At least at UGA kids have seen them win the SEC and make the playoffs. I have no issue saying UT used to be good, but the fact is UGA is currently better.

The after attrition talent discrepancy between Ga and TN was huuuge.
But it's not like he can come on and brag about how Smart lost to SC with waaaaay more talent than Pruitt beat them with.

Equivalent in terms of what? History and tradition? No. Terms of current level? Probably so. Bama made the playoffs twice instead of once, but UGA was the only team to be competitive with bama until LSU recently.
