How do you mean?

Just saying because we have more freedom of guns, we naturally will have more gun violence?
Absolutely. Most countries have pretty much disarmed their citizens. If those countries had an armed populace there would be similar levels of gun violence.

If folks want to reduce gun violence they should start in Chicago where they have the highest levels of gun violence with the most restrictive gun laws. Put out the largest fire first.

Lol you can't seem to follow simple post by post arguments. That or you think you are slick and can trick by going in circles and posting non-sequiturs. You did this before in the main forum and started posting quotes...except they were out of order

Let me walk you through it.

You said America has a "Annie get your gun', 'shoot first, ask questions later', culture that 'glorifies guns'. I said that statement was not accurate, but asked you to explain what you meant. You then said you were really just comparing our culture to elsewhere, which still wasn't a real explanation as to what you meant with your original statement, but rather it appeared you merely trying to change the intent of your original statement to something else rather than offering a real explanation of what you meant. But as I also noted, if you were walking that statement back then I didn't blame you.

Best one ive heard is its a Dem Conspiracy fronted by Pelosi's supposed financial interests in Bio Pharma. Utilizing her vaaast background in molecular biology and weaponizing viruses as well as aspiration to be a Dictator predicated on mass murder and genocide, she created Sars Cov 2.

Of all the dumbass theories, gotta hand it to Fox on that one. That wins dumbass of the year award.

You thought that one was better than the entire Russia/Trump Collusion Theory that the entire Mainstream Media pushed for over 2 years?!? And that MSNBC's Rachel 'Moscow' Maddow and a couple of Democrat congressmen are still pushing? Even as more and more declassified documents show that it appears Trump's opponents were the actual conspirators?

I don't think we glorify guns as a culture at all. I think it's quite the opposite and one of the reasons we find ourselves where we are. The MSM continually demonizes guns, particularly the guns used in high profile crimes. Culture has made it taboo to own guns. You see it every day. My son was a second grader and he took one of his little green army men to school. The one he chose as holding a rifle. His teacher told him to put it in his backpack and to not bring it back. I saw the teach later at a function where I thanked him for his actions because I knew he used common sense and cut him a break because it was an expellable offense.

People, particularly young folks, are rebellious by nature. They like what is taboo. Having a gun has a mystique to it. This makes guns particularly enticing to some. Used to, guns were no big deal, and the amount of gun violence was less. The demonization of guns by the anti-2A crowd has had the opposite affect than what they intended.

Have you watched a movie lately?

I don't keep up with gun stats, so you can correct me here if wrong, but I thought the Swiss had just as many guns per capita. I though Australia also quite a lot. But not as much gun violence.

I'm not sure if it is as simple as more guns equals more gun violence, but that could be a component too.

So you just didn't like my explanation? Ok. Maybe the statement isn't the extreme "bloodbath" statement you thought it was. It's cool.

Peace

I watch Fox News and CNN just for the comedy of them asking a question, talking over the guest expert giving the answer, acting like they know more than said expert and then cutting them off. Lol
Lol my buddy and I used to do that, legitimately. It is pretty laughable, especially when it is 2 v 1. Punching bags

But isn't that yet another irony? Movie peeps lean just as far left as news media people, and yet they still churn out violent, gun loving movies. Unlike InVol, I gave up my tinfoil hat...but...it's almost like there is a symbiosis between movies and newsies where one drives violence so the other has news to talk about. Might be something I'd do if I were trying to elevate gun violence to the point we were forced to eliminate them. Hypothetically, of course.

Australia had a massive gun confiscation just a few years ago.

Just looking, Australia banned all semi-auto firearms period. Offered to buy them back over a one year period and after that were subject to severe penalties for possessing them.

The Hollywood leftist conundrum,. Gun control by night,. Gun toting, shootem' up at their day job. Not to mention hiring well armed security for themselves. Typical do as I say not as I do in regards to both.

It appears that Switzerland does have some fairly liberal gun laws, some more stringent, some more lenient. They less guns per capita than the US. Their laws are tightening due to pressure from the European Union.

It’ll benefit them because then people will be forced to keep watching their drivel instead of going back to their normal lives.
That’s what they think, but if this goes on too much longer, people are going to tune them out. All they do is report negative and biased trash. American citizens are going to be looking for positive messages of hope, if this continues on. Today’s media has no idea how to deliver a message like that.

People haven't changed them out yet, so I disagree with you. That is what the people want

Protesters at several different state capitals disagree with this.
The proof is in the viewing habits in the future. That's like organizing a protest that people would rather watch soccer than real football. A protest isn't a proof of anything.

Viewing habits right now are suggesting that people are already tuning them out. CNN, msnbc...etc...etc have all shown major 1st quarter losses. Numbers of viewers has dropped drastically. Fox news had more viewers in the first qtr than CNN and msnbc combined.
People are tired of the lies being told by the liberal media
