My wife and I went to Zambras. Food was delicious. Shared about four things, had a couple of drinks. I will say this though. My wallet was a lot lighter and I kid you not stopped at McDonald's on the way back to JC because we were both still hungry. Ha.

We used to eat at the lab quite a bit too and watch games at the Bier Garden if we'd go on a weekend Tennessee was playing in the fall.
Oh man LAB was great. Unfortunately it closed, but is now CoLABboratory. Pretty good too and same setup, but I miss their sliders 😭 Bier Garden is really the only place you can guarantee to see a game around here.

Dang. This makes me sad. Didn't realize it closed and changed. They had an amazing meatloaf too! JC downtown was starting to come along really well. Hoping this virus doesn't set it back too far.

Yea that's what I'm doing. I have to admit I'm really shocked by your stance but whatever.

I know WWJD but do you?

Wow...I am out here by choice everyday taking people to their appointments when almost all the other drivers took layoffs...many refused to work. They are making more than twice as much as I am by staying home...but I am selfish? Give me a damn break..you can shove it your holier than thou garbage..I am out here actually helping people.

You calling me selfish is a f'n joke 🤬

And you bitch and moan about even wearing a mask carrying your old folks to and from the doctor. Forgive me if I don't give to ***** about your sacrifices.

I've heard that about JC. Spent 2 years at ETSU but never thought much of the town, outside the great outdoor options, but had heard it was revitalizing some and we've been meaning to daytrip there. Let me know if there are any must-hit places.

I hate COVID-19 for so many reasons!! The sicknesses and deaths are horrible, but I think I’m starting to hate it more for what I see it doing to mankind. The example is right here in this thread...so many seasoned, great posters that I respect (and still do) are in here exchanging harsh words towards each other. It’s dividing this country it seems, as is seen in this thread causing division in our great fanbase. I know the sample size is small here, but I see things in the world that show it’s really affecting mankind in similar ways.

Let’s try our best to put on a little more love, gang! Love y’all, Volnation! Let’s rise above all of this, like Vol fans do best!

We're really partial to label restaurant. But several good options downtown now. Atlantic ale house is a good little bar right next to a new park they put in? They don't serve food but they always have a food truck there. We love taking the kids and letting them play in the park while having a beer.

I moved here in 01 for school and there wasn't much. There's actually tail gating on campus for football games now too. ETSU football atmosphere has totally changed.

I have been checking out a lot of these Post Modern Jukebox videos on youtube the last couple of months. If you are not familiar, they do a lot of covers of old songs, but they are rearranged into old-style jazz band sounds, ranging from the Roaring 20s through the '50s, and feature some outstanding female vocalists.

This is a cover of Creep, an old song from the '90s by Radiohead, and features Haley Reinhart on vocals. I was not aware of her before seeing her in some of these PMJ videos, but my daughter said she believes she was once a runner up in one of those talent shows. But the girl has some pipes and an unbelievable stage presence.

My senior year was when football was officially reinstated and Fulmer was a temp AD looking for a FB HC. I had one professor bad mouth the idea of bringing back football and that the president would jump ship first chance he got. Man was he wrong

Yeah they actually had the program when I first got there but boy was it hard to watch in the dome. Having a downtown worth going too next to campus has completely changed the feel as well.

I remember those days! I came in 2002 and lived in the athletic dorm. Lots of football players, parties, etc. Then they shut football down. Decided to stay in the same dorm sophomore year and it was like a ghost town.
