Recruiting forum off topic thread (no politics, covid, or hot button issues)

Couldn't say, I don’t know the man personally. I'm not sure he's even in that type of role at NPA. At least I have no recollection of him saying so (someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on that).

Also, I don't see the need to throw shade on the parents of these kids, do you?
As soon as I read about someone putting someone down...For anything ! I’m done unless they attack me ! To belittle someone is a sign of ignorance and having nothing intelligent to bring to a conversation in the first place. Complete sentences ! Putting others down ! Ignorance and unintelligent individuals and Immature !

Unfortunately there's a lot of that on here..

I get an occasional insult in the back and forth between two posters, I've been guilty of that. I'll never get doing it to people that are not even involved in the conversation or on the board at all, for that matter.. Such as recruits and/or their parents..

You mean like belittling a VOL QB for running out of bounds about 20 times. Was that not covered by your ANYTHING? Yet you had issues for me calling you out for those posts. What am I missing here? I am not allowed to defend a VOL player only myself?

What part of Texas is nice to look at? I like Texas a lot, but I wouldn’t describe any of it (other than maybe the River Walk) as “nice to see” ha.
My favorite sightseeing and hiking areas are Big Bend National Park and Guadalupe Mountains National Park.

I think people have taken this notion about DE1 steering kids away too far.

Heupel told Destin Wade he wasn't a college QB. So he AND his brother went to UK.
DE1 suggests Heupel should have told him he would get a shot at QB and ultimately move him to WR WHEN ...NOT IF...when it didn't work out.
- VN then responded that DE1 was being deceitful for that suggestion lol.

So, y'all get mad at him for supporting the wade's decision to go to UK (because Heupel won't let Destin play QB). Then when he suggested Heupel tell him the opposite YOU ALL STILL GET MAD HIM...🙄.

And yes. Simpson is a better QB right now than Jackson. If Hooker wasn't coming back, Simpson would step right in and produce. Not because star ranking. But because of his profile.
- Skilled in the pocket and out of it.
- coaches son
- strong armed
- outstanding mechanics
- keeps yes down field even when scrambling
- plays with great energy

And I'm glad Jackson is a Vol. We got lucky with that BECAUSE we're not getting Simpson.

I wish people on here would keep the main thing the main thing.

Agree with all of this. DE1 was correct in what Heupel should have told Destin - we have had multiple people try qb and then reposition to other positions and are now or were in the NFL. It is sort of what we do and have done.
Kentucky has had to play receivers at quarterback so they look better on paper for Wade but with the transfer portal - they will no longer be doing that imho. and Destin will be a receiver there or tfr out and be a qb somewhere other than the SEC.

I really like Simpson, what's not to like - including climbing into the stands after state and giving him mom a hug. Seems an all- american kid and a really good athlete and quarterback. I think we likely will finish second in this race to get him - but if Arch Manning is signed by Bama a year from now - all bets are off as to where Simpson ultimately ends up.
If you have too much talent in your qb room and rb room and receiver room - like Georgia and Alabama have had - some great talent will portal just for playing time. It isn't in their best interests as a qb or receiver to sit for a couple years. We will have to see how the domino's fall down the road. Also look for Bama to wait and announce a starter at qb until seconds before the season start.

Great that his is considering us, as he should because of our dynamic offense, great coaches and because we reside just short of Heaven - in East Tennessee vs just short of He// and in the heart of tornado alley and super high humidity in Tuskaloosa.
Isn't Coach Satan about 96 years old now? :) His days are numbered. He needs to stick to Aflac commercials - well maybe not that either.

“We’ve” listened? What’s your cut? Nothing but a street agent.

No street agent here don't be mad at us be mad at Spyre. Really don't be mad at anyone. Just say timing wasn't right like the coaches and other parties involved. Kid has a very unfortunate situation where he has to help granny. So that's why it's very important to him. Done talking about it.

Hard to believe any parent would seriously listen to D1. He can’t even form a structural sentence. Only thing I could maybe see is that the parents aren’t exactly rocket surgeons themselves.

Hey trick this is a message board not a school paper or dissertation. I don't hv to form a structural sentence. Also as far as what a parent listens to, they listen to the sound advice of a person that has done this for over 15 yrs. So judge ya mammy not me because you don't have a clue.

Debatable. I was talking about what he posts. As far as what he knows, Butchna has actually seen pics that prove he has inside information. NPA kids go to KY and TCU a lot so conclusions can be drawn about NPA if not him. Easier to believe that nothing happens though.

@SweetasSoda we have kids at UGA, KY, TCU, UT actaullahas the most and I posted this a wk or so ago, etc. So as far as steering anything that's not true. There's one person I can say I don't know but have shown proof. I don't have anything ro prove to any of these sensational fans who thinks that kids who have moved to Tennessee and aren't UT fans because UT hasn't been good should be forced to go to UT. It just doesn't work like that. I'm sorry ppl can't understand this but it is what it is and that's freedom of choice.

I was at that show too. I still tell stories about the set Rage Against the Machine played.
That Rage show was the wildest thing I've ever seen in person. That atmosphere, at the time, is what I imagined a full-blown riot would have looked like. Total chaos. I legitimately feared for my own safety and my buddies I was there with.

Love Rage. Their concert at Finsbury Park is amazing to watch. The shots of the crowd jumping in unison are awesome.

Whether you believe or not, when someone offers you a prayer, take it as an act of kindness. That person is showing you they support you. No need to slap them in the face by being rude.

That implies a belief in a higher power, which I don't have. And if there is a God, which is unlikely at best, he/she has some explaining to do for their sick sense of humor.

What you fail to realize is it's not about you. When someone offers you prayer, whether you believe or not, they are telling you they support you. It's a comfort to them as much as it's meant to be a comfort for you. It's a nicety. It's their way of saying, "I got your back". So when you spit on someone trying to offer you support, YOU look bad. I'm not saying change what you believe, but why be rude to someone offering you kindness? Sometimes it's better to just say "thank you" and feel comfort in knowing you have friends.
