I have a Honda civic that gets 40 mpg . What does that have anything to do with people not wanting to spend $3.20+ per gallon on a product that they were just paying >$1.50 per gallon.

I'm always trying to pay less. Just because person A makes more money than person B doesn't mean person A wants to spend more money on gas.

Yes and no. He seems like someone that hates being told his opinion is stupid or isn't agreed with. Not necessarily arguing to get other people angry but that's just my opinion. He very well could be trolling and I'm giving the benefit of the doubt.

Who wants to spend more? My point was that of all things id put gas prices at about level 100 importance.

Americans are spoiled rotten.

That won't be the case if gas prices skyrocket due to what is happening with Ukraine. You're insane with this talking point. Those prices would be extremely detrimental to society. To deny that is ridiculously narrow sighted, arrogant, and naive. Maybe you like the idea of socialism and extreme poverty, but the rest of us don't.

I have no problem with my opinions are called dumb. Plenty of people disagree with my opinions. That’s the beauty of a message board. If you argue with someone, you are called a troll. If you are negative in anyway, you are a troll. Have differing opinions? You are a troll.

Many who are using the troll label are just being lazy.

I remember at the earliest part of the pandemic a major concern was schools staying open so that they could continue to provide breakfast and lunch for kids who weren't getting solid nutrition at home. As I recall, some local schools were continuing to provide meals to the kids who could get there. With buses not running, the concern became gas money for parents, so they also started providing gas cards so they would bring kids to school.

The irony here is deep.
