Recruiting forum off topic thread (no politics, covid, or hot button issues)

;) Kind of my business if you had not guessed.

I receive and skim/read several newsletters per day from API on one end to a Renewables organization that posts a lot of pie in the sky types of ideas- not easy to tell what is realistic and what is just an indirect appeal for investors.

Biomass is going to grow in importance. I think most across the spectrum expect that.

I find it interesting that the photo you posted showed several different ethanol combinations. I never see anything but E85. Both my car and truck run fine on E85 (flex fuel vehicles) but the decrease in mileage wipes out the cost savings.

Much more common in the Midwest which isn't a surprise. MO legislature is considering a tax credit for higher blend infrastructure. Iowa may soon become the first state to make E-15 the standard fuel. Minnesota is trending in that direction. If it starts, several states will follow. You could see a coalition of states going that direction stretching across the corn belt from Ohio to Colorado.

PS- you can splash blend pretty easily if it is worth your trouble.

The inability to prove something true does not make it false. There was an unsolved murder in your community. My inability to prove that you didn't do it doesn't prove that you did.

Either you aren't very smart or you are trolling. Either way I'm done with you.
He's a troll...

Never thought that about him. Moreso a passionate fan prone to severe mood changes. Other examples being Bass and McGill.
You may be right and my spidey sense is failing me. He just always seems to be 'Johnny on the spot' to argue over pretty much nothing. Also, I thought I've detected a slight dawg fetish in him before...

Anyway, random observation of the day... It's interesting how over time certain personalities, even on a message board, can begin to rub each other the wrong way. It doesn't happen as quickly as it does in face to face interaction, but it still happens..
😎

Dude. Really? You live in NE Tennessee. Look around. Go to Walmart. The people getting hurt the most by this aren't worried about tax deductions, they're worried about feeding their family.
Bass just bought a new F150.

While im happy for him, and a tad jellie. Hard to feel much sympathy, its about choices. Buy a Chevy Luv to drive to work!

Why? When we are capable of having $1.75 gas and people can choose if they want an economy sedan or a big ole truck and both can be happy with their choices. People could also choose to have an electric vehicle and nobody would stop them. It is painfully obvious that the lefties are more than happy with gas going through the roof. It takes choice away from people and forces them to make the decisions that they are told to make. In this case, get an electric car because they can't afford to operate their gas powered vehicle. Why not enact policies that promote choice and personal responsibility instead of trying to nanny state everyone and beat them into submission? I know that is what lefties like to do but like @SSVol said, this is only hurting the people that really can't afford it.

Because control. Nailed it

Still remember those saying "we'll have $5 gas and we'll never, ever see it drop below that" after 9/11. Over 20 years ago.

Many have to remember how temporary these situations are. There have always been spikes. And annual alarmists.

I'm more concerned with the possibility of ongoing covid concerns that continue to disrupt logistics and the supply/value chain. BUT this could also lead to a true market disruption and new ways of approaching these areas to immunize them from future issues. There is going to be a lot of innovation in those areas over the next decade because of this. Reforming and optimizing JiT and Lean operations, if not backing off of them to some degree. Look to invest accordingly.

I thought OPEC controlled oil prices.
