Being an employee was not the point...if it makes you understand the point better, say "representative" instead.

And it sure sounded like you were saying what we do and say should make no difference to a recruit or their relative, so it is ok to say whatever you want to them.

Damn, that Boo thread got crazy.

I made the original post regarding Adoree and Boo. She sure came back at me. Overreacting? Sure. No big deal.

The questioning of his character and speculating on if we want him definitely went too far. I can understand her defending her son.

Simply 2-3 posters just jawing it out and getting carried away.

The whole point of this forum is to talk football, current players, and recruits and what’s happening, speculate and have fun.

This includes comparing prospects to current NFL players not unlike what the recruiting services and NFL draft scouts do.

If UT coaches want him, we want him. If not, best of luck to Boo and his mom wherever he goes.

She came into that thread looking to start a fight from the beginning. Posters were coming up with very favorable comps for Boo and she got mad about that. Posters got out of line sure, but Mom didnt help herself coming in guns blazing.

I’m not condoning hers either. Just pointing out that she went there with the #5 because she was angry with our fans and now thinks of herself as not part of our fan base. The poster pointing out that we were #1 and inferring that Boo needed us didn’t go over well obviously. I’m not saying she handled the situation well at all. But some of our fans sure didn’t. The biggest problem I have with it is he is in state. We do not currently have a good relationship with in state schools or recruits. In state recruits talk to each other. There was absolutely nothing to gain by arguing with her. No, she did not have the right to stop people from posting and speculating. But instead of arguing with her just go ahead and post!

and it still goes back to my prior post. Condoning her or not is relevant. I read the whole thread while it was here. Some of our fan posters were out of bounds. I get that, but again, no one engaged her TODAY before her infamous #5 mic drop. She didn’t direct it to the ones that pissed her off, but to ALL of us. That I will not condone.

It absolutely shouldn't. We do not "represent" Tennessee. We're anonymous posters on a message board. Any parent or recruit that chooses to participate on this board should know that.

Every fanbase has ass holes. All of them.

No one should be surprised we have our own. But they do NOT represent Tennessee.

It's up to Freak and the mods to decide what is and is not appropriate. None of us have that power.

So if you ask me, "Do I wish the idiots would shut up?" The answer is yes. But in no way do I think they would, should, or could truly influence someone's decision. To say anonymous people made your choice for you is just weak as hell.

Not taking up for her AT ALL but which Is worse: being a troll from another team causing problems or being UT fans not worried about pushing away recruits? If my mom told me a schools fans were giving her a hard time I wouldn’t sign there.

I have always been in the camp that we should tread lightly and respectfully with families, and I personally always do so, but this particular family member was quite adversarial and very quick to go at it. Don't think I've ever seen a shorter fuse, and you know that won't play well with some VN elements. Spark + gasoline.

Seems like a weak reason to me. If he likes our coaches, likes our facilities and campus, likes our academics and academic support system, likes our NIL deals, and likes the gameday experience, why would something someone hiding behind a screen name claiming to be a Vol fan influence his decision?
