I mean, they kind of were. Patton certainly didn't like them, and we did our best to limit their land grab. And Stalin was a ruthless killer.

They were our enemy long before the wall. We just had a common enemy with them.

I would concede that US and Russia werent best friends pre WW2. So, me saying 'not really' was uninformed. But, I'm going to die on this hill here. They both became gorillas post war, that's when the bitter hatred really came about.
