Recruiting Forum: Official Alabama Pre-Game/Game Thread

Dobbs will open it up for Hurd. Every team I've watched play Bama and over the last few years has gotten the edge out of the spread.

Bama focuses on the pro style fits with their defense. That's why when you spread them out you can gash them with a good RB. Well we've got an elite RB. :)

Do you think our OL can handle the front 7 for Alabutthole? They have some good players there especially Ragland (sp?). I haven't watched much of Alabama. How are they at guarding the edge? Because we like to get Hurd and Kamara out to the edge.

Florida is much more active up front to me and concerned me more with how they attack. We ran very well on them. The Bama boys are the typical Bama D-line. Very stout but not guys that consistently penetrate the O-line. Reed is good but the others pretty much get push. You don't see them making plays behind the line. Ragland is the playmaker but I'll be interested to see who he picks between Hurd and Dobbs. If he doesn't get to the corner ahead of Hurd he'll get punished by him. It'll be interesting but our line has sealed the edge on everyone we've played this year.

Had a color blind teacher in high school once. He told us that at stop lights he would just wait until the person behind him honked their horn on whether or not the light turned green for him to go.

I feel like a teacher should be smart enough to know which position was red green and yellow.

I want to believe we win but there is just so many injuries and we're so thin right now. Of course the thought was before the UGA that we were a distracted, fractured team as well and that turned out pretty well. If Bama has an off game like they did versus Ole Miss we will beat them.

Seems like we have more injuries AFTER the bye than we did before

That isn't the only issue with color blindness. Not only do some get colors confused, but a lot of people cannot see certain colors at all. As in they know that the bottom one is supposedly green, but they can't see the color light up at all. It's that way with my dad if I'm recalling correctly. I'm no expert and could be wrong, but that's the way I remember my dad explaining it. That was 25 years ago now lol

Your thoughts were my high school me's thoughts exactly.

This could be it. Was wondering if that could be what was going on. Never asked, though.

Yeah our OL has done a pretty good job with run blocking this year. Hopefully they continue this week with Bama. I think they will, too. Ragland will make his plays, but I think Hurd will make him a fool/look slow on some plays as well. Really hoping the WR's play like they did in the 2nd half of the UGA game.

Buck Fama. Tired of people acting like they're anything other than a group of 18-22 year olds who put their pants on one leg at a time.

Believe. Go Vols.

Also lights aren't in the same position in every state

I've been to 35 states and except for a rare horizontal light because of a bridge, they're all the same. Even the horizontal ones are all standardized.

Be careful what you post during the game. Butch isn't the only one taking names-- we have our very own hall monitor right here on VN.

I'm worried about the reaction on this board if we don't beat Alabama.

Go Big Orange for all my life and go to hell all of you lifeless elephants from Alabama.

Who cares about this board and their ridiculous reactions. I've learned to tune them out and you should as well.

I want to see us give Bama everything we have for four quarters, and don't hold anything back. Do that, and I will be a proud Vol!
