I just don't understand how you all don't realize how talented this team is.

We were a year younger last year and were never outplayed by anyone. We had (big) leads on all the top teams we faced and we lead Bama with 4 minutes to go.

This year we have outplayed EVERYONE. And come back from huge deficits.m (self inflicted or not)

There isn't a Team in America who can just out talent us. those days are done

:salute:

LET US GO!!!

Everyone knows how talented and tenacious this team is. Everyone. Even cat.

But no one will allow themselves to get their hopes up. They did it for Florida for years and Florida's been terrible. People probably will continue to pick Florida to beat us despite us being the better team for the next few years until we tip the scales back.

Alabama is the dynasty. New quarterback but national champs 4 of the past 7 years. I almost vomit talking about how good they've been lately. But respect is due.

Personally, I think we beat them. We come out pissed off, tired of the close games, and give them their annual what-the-heck-was-that? game before doing it again in closer fashion in Atlanta.

People are optimistic. Like you said, we took them to the wire last year.

But people are afraid, nervous, scared, whatever to pick us.

That's just the way it is.

It's just crazy to me how it looks like all of a sudden, we have depth! I know we have and have been building it, but my goodness. How many starters have gone down and go down through out the game, and yet we put on more steam in the second half.

That's what gives me hope thinking back to last year, even. We went up in the 4th, but I had little faith we would be able to shut them down the rest of the way. That tide has turned beginning this year.

UT: 31
AL: 20

If your predicting a loss, you just lost all credibility of everything til the last sentence. It was a good little write up til then. If we only lose the ball 5 times we beat ATM comfortably. Now we get bama, some people just find the negative in everything I guess.

They act like I can't pass a drug test until the games start and we look like the far superior team. Bama had 5 turnovers versus Ole Miss last year and lost in regulation. It took 7 turnovers and double overtime for a similar style team to beat us this year.

We have a third string back that's a monster and would start at Alabama right now. Our own posters think Damien Harris is better than Hurd now.

I'm done projecting how good we are to this crowd. I'll be sitting back watching us ball and continue to get better.

SN: Buchanan and Osborne running stride for stride with those fast Aggie WRs bodes well for the future. 😎😎😎😎😎

If and that's a big "IF", we can come out firing on all cylinders, and our defense can stop the run, I think Vols have a great chance. I honestly believe that NOBODY scares us. There is not ONE team in the nation that has met adversity head on like this team has, and I think that makes us VERY DANGEROUS!!!!!!

But we have to make plays and force TOS to have any chance and the D has to stand FIRM.

38 - 31 VOLS in OT

Tennessee has yet to lose a game that Dobbs has started by double digits. I'll take the Vols and the points, but Alabama wins a close one in Knoxville.

32-31 Tide

I'm not even going to pick a score.

Vols win.

We'll stop scoring when we damn well feel like stopping!

With Cam out and the secondary being exposed on deep routes little Kiffin is drooling this week waiting to put up 600 yards passing before the half.

Saban though, will want to play the numbers and protect the freshman QB on his first trip to Neyland with the running game and conservative throws.

So my prediction:

38-21 Vols
and 3 "*** chewings"

To answer the earlier question, Bama has scored 9 non-offensive touchdowns this season.

I am not certain if this includes punt and kick returns.

So if you adjust the PPG to dismiss defensive touchdowns, Bama is averaging 34.3 PPG

I'd be curious to know how far above league average they are. Their offence is good but not 2008 Florida good IMO. And, yes, I'm too lazy to perform a few simple calculations

KMac and Tuttle were bullying inside together when they were in.

Mackenzie really is playing his best football right now and coming on strong.

Kelly needs more touches for sure. Maybe this will put the pressure on Hurd.

Byrd needs all the slot snaps too. Kids looks flat out special speed wise.

Our DBs must tackle better as a group. Put their helmet in some chest and punish some WRs. Too many YAC yards off just not being tough at the point of attack. That's one thing about Bama they limit extra yards with secure tackling.

Our defense needs to run through the WRs and flat out bust some ball carriers up. We got out hit in this game by a finesse team. Our RBs were the hardest hitting position on the field Saturday. Kelly and Kamara punished some would be tacklers.
