Recruiting Forum: Official Alabama Pre-Game/Game Thread

Noticed that Alexis is already practicing in the two deep. Hoping it's because he's that good and not because he's all we have left.

I think there's a good possibility we see jumper in the middle and Kirkland on there outside but it doesn't really matter in this defense because both see the middle and outside depending on the formation

Chuck Oliver was making it a point to talk about how Bama would destroy Tennessee. Kept saying "boat race", "2 or 3 touchdowns", "destroyed", etc.

...which means I'm digging out my goal post demolition gloves.

Also Hurd having any complaints about how he's used are dead. Make plays or get passed on the depth chart(and I still like watching Hurd run the ball north and south more than any other Vol RB). Kamara and Kelly both were putting on a show Saturday. He's got to elevate his game because Kamara sure looked every bit like the best back on the team. And Kelly isn't far behind him at all. His power and vision are a big play waiting to happen.

This is the one I want most. Florida was nice, Georgia is well, Georgia, nice wins. But bama is the big one, the biggest rival and one of the biggest games in the south if not the country. This is the one that matters most to take the next step . Just the word alabama pisses me off, I'm tired of everyone on finebaum and everyone saying were lucky. It's all gonna change sat at 330. GoVols! Carry the fight to alabama for 60 mins! I'm ready to smoke this 11 year old cigar

It took 7 turnovers and double overtime to beat us.

Bama claims they beat themselves after every loss. We've been saying that for two years now. We are an elite team and will prove it Saturday.

Alabama saying we were the biggest game of the year a few weeks back let's me know they know. A 5 point loss on the road last year wasn't a fluke either.

2007-2009 was all UF in Middle TN. Then 2010-2015 was solid crimson. A lot of UT orange has emerged since last season though.

Is it like this everywhere, or is Middle Tennessee just in some kind of nexus? I don't remember it being this bad growing up, but I probably paid less attention (and TN was pretty good then).

TN wins big and announces emphatically "we are back and contenders!"

I didn't move to Middle TN until 2007. Grew up in East TN, which was always all orange.

I doubt Middle TN was as bad during the 90s and early 2000s because A) the Vols were good and B) there weren't as many transplants.

A lot of the Bama fans I've seen/met in Middle TN are actually from Alabama, but plenty are just true bandwagon fans.

Good question. My small town a full of Bama fans, who have never live anywhere close to Alabama let alone went to school there. I think the closest any of them have been is on I 65 on the way to the Florida Beaches of The Redneck Riveara!

Transplants and bandwagoners about sums it up.
