I’m down for trying anything at this point. You need to get blitzed and do your part.I smoked a joint (sorry, old school, I don't roll blunts, but I will smoke 'em, if somebody passes one to me) when the Vols got the pick in the endzone. Then, I smoked one on that last Bama drive and missed FG. I'm thinking I need to smoke one on this first drive out of halftime. The sacrifice I make for VN
Just saying a lot of our fans have taken a header off the Empire State building before halftime in a 7pt game. The problem is we are just flat out better than them at 21/22 positions. We should have 3 scores right now, at minimum. Can’t blame people for being frustrated when the guy billed as our savior has been an embarrassment against anyone with a pulse.
1000% percent.Nico was one of the most highly rated recruits in the nation coming out of HS. It’s in the coaches to develop him. Play calling isn’t the issue this game. His poor performance is and a big part of that is on the coaches.
Is there any chance they score negative points?Don’t worry guys, we still have a chance if we beat UGAView attachment 688681
Sure, I get that. But I’m absolutely livid at this and can’t blame anyone else for being as well. Heupel is part to blame for not having Nico ready, but at this juncture the team’s faults are solely on Nico. This is a national championship level team at every position except QB (and maybe OT - which has looked solid today). Fans have a right to be mad at the underperformance, regardless of how bad we were 5 seasons ago. Dave Hart is no longer running the AD and Dooley is no longer the coach. The expectations have changed and that’s a good thing.Just saying a lot of our fans have taken a header off the Empire State building before halftime in a 7pt game.
Defenses have adjusted by running more db's and during them out. It takes away our passes to the boundries which we use as an extension of the run game. It's completely kryptonited Heups offense. It challenges the QB to make the right reads and hit receivers quickly......... Something young QB 's often struggle with.He was hitting them vs Kent st.
He’s been pressured , hit , sacked constantly in SEC games and he’s regressed fundamentally, confidently and every way.
To the point he’s terrible.
My only worry is Heupel not being able to evolve his offense in a way that combats the way opponents adapt over timeThere are two separate things happening that are not directly related and also completely related.
Nico is just off. Could be the yips, could be trouble long term.
Heuple has lost his run game in the 3-3-5 as teams are disguising how many they will have in the box.
Solve one and we are good. Solve both we can compete with everyone.
Solve neither, bang average.
