Honestly, despite the collective heart attack we as fans had, this game was probably the best thing that could happen to this team (both players and coaches).

The cloud nine bubble was burst. Adversity was overcome. Had a come from behind win/winning a tight game.

Hope this was a reality check for the whole football organization. That was embarrassing, play calling sucks and needs to be addressed immediately. Preston played great on the first few drives and never heard him again. Wonder why tee didn't come here. I love dobbs, but won't miss him. He frustrates the hell outta me and takes years away from my life. Also causes me to chain smoke and drink heavily. Team needs to open all positions up. Defense missed maybin but held strong when needed. Yeah they gave up some plays but not points. That was a good team that will probably win out. Go Vols!

We overcame a lot of adversary tonight and beat a team that's pretty darn good while playing bad. Our defense didn't allow points last 8 drives.

My god did we miss JRM. Once plays got to the second level there was some bad play.

Just win...that's what we did. Maybe we aren't who we hoped we would be. I don't know. It's certainly hard to believe that this team came in flat for the opening game of the year, but maybe they were peaking ahead to next week and Bristol.

A positive (although it was against Appy St)...we had everything go against us in the 1st half. Lost JRM to a questionable call, Cam's fumble in our territory, terrible refs with terrible reviews or lack of review on a couple of critical plays. Nothing was going right, but we found a way to battle back, hang around with good defense, and won the game. At this point, that's all that matters. It is much better to be 1-0 than 0-1 right now.

I thought our Defense played good. App state offense is hard to defend.

Defense played very well, especially when you consider how much time they spent on the field.

Preston and Malone are good. Passing game was shockingly bad. Oline had a hand in it too.
