Recruiting Forum: Official Appalachian State Pre-Game/Game Thread

Yeah, I am. Probably not going to classes before that though. I'm kind of over everything right now. Unless one of the girls I texted to come over and pet my head while telling me everything will be ok shows up.
I I took your advice and left the game. The minute I exited the stadium, Malone goes the distance. Call me Jonah, no more games for me this year.

And yes. I have texted multiple Knoxville area girls to come to my apartment, pet my head, and tell me everything will be ok. I couldn't sex them even if I wanted to right now, and I don't care if multiple show up.

Good night everyone and its nice to go to bed with a win. And tell leb I can't see a word he has typed. lol Please don't quote him. lol

I left at the same time, might be only watching games online or from the sideline for me rest of the year.

I'm honestly shocked we won the game- I knew when Dobbs fumbled at the end it was game over but somehow we finally got some luck and landed on it. This should be an eye opener for all as the team prepares for next weekend. OL lineup needs a shakeup big time and Debord just absolutely sucks. Wonder if media will press Butch on why the hell we looked so bad, unprepared, undiscipled, etc

This App St. team could probably best Florida. They will be 11-1

No way. However, there's something to be said for the idea that we were App State's Super Bowl and our coaches/players were looking ahead to VT and Florida.

A lot of things went very, very wrong in that game and we still won. Against a good team.

-The Sutton punt return flipped momentum badly.

-The PW non-TD was even worse.

-Dobbs made an uncharacteristically stupid decision and threw away a scoring opportunity.

-JRM's targeting penalty hurt the defense.

-The OL played well under its potential.

-App State scored on a ridiculous essentially no-look TD pass to a WR who was covered by Vereen.

I think that without the bad luck (and the team still playing bad), we win something like 24-10 and the game is never in question in the 4th. It still wouldn't have been the type of win we wanted, but it would have prevented the heart attack ending.

Micah Abernathy was a beast tonight.

And outside of the muff, Sutton had one of his best games since his FR year.

Sutton was outstanding. He was our best tackler tonight and showed off the ball skills. Good showing for him

I said it before the game and I'll say it again. I think App St beats Miami week 3. They can win every remaining game on their schedule.

All that matters is we won, in spite of playing poorly on offense. Time for growth between now and VT. Go Vols.

He tackles on running plays as much as any cb I've seen, and a lot of times before they get to the second level.

It's frustrating because Debord has called good games. But it's getting harder to have faith that he will be consistent enough to be effective.
