Recruiting Forum: Official Arkansas Pre-Game/Game Thread

Gonna try to watch this game with no expectations, and see if I can't enjoy it a little more. I'm tired of being a basket case the entire game and not able to enjoy it. This is game 5...we are almost halfway through the season after this one.

It’s been 9 years since I’ve been to Knoxville. I’ll be at the game Saturday. Any suggestions on the best place to park that provides the quickest way to get back on I-40 going West after the game? I never had that issue in the past because I lived in Knoxville. Now I live on the other side of the state. Let’s roast some Hog this weekend!

Lol! Atta boy! That was the motto last week and didn't work. Gonna go with this for this week...

JUST SLAUGHTER THE HOGS!!

Get there early and get a spot on Volunteer Blvd. It's a walk from the stadium but being in a garage is death if the game is close until the end.

I live on campus and twice now have had to try and get back home after work after games. As long as you accept the fact that it will take a while, it's generally not that bad. It's mostly well organized honestly, and if you need to hit 40 west and don't want to go through 17th (which is one of the busier streets and they'll close off from cumberland partially as well) then you can always park at wal mart and walk a little extra ways and just hit 40 from there or go towards Weisgarber/Papermill and hit it from there, its not even 5 minutes down Kingston pike with average traffic normally.

Worst possible would probably be blowing another 2 TD lead in the 4th quarter.

But at this point losing in any way will be crushing

You're both right.

Blowing a 14 point lead in the 4th... and LOSE by 14, is pretty much the worst case, :eek:lol:

I park at the Colliseum when I go. Sure, it's a 45 mile walk, but who can't use a little extra-cise, and it let's the traffic clear. Of course, if you are staying on the west side of town, this is not your best option.

The Hogs haven't won in Neyland since 1992. They haven't won an SEC road game since 2012. They're as down as we are. We really need to get this one.

OMG was at the 92 game. We were freaking undefeated with Bama up next. The hogs kicked about a 50 yarder with no time on the clock to beat us.

Arkansas feels like a rivalry to me. Even though we don't play them often. I feel I know tons of Arkansas fans. Lots of family in Little Rock. The Razorbacks are like the NFL team in that state. Being in Memphis so close to the state line I feel like they're everywhere.

They always talk smack and put down Tennessee. My Dad made a bet with one of my cousins before the season where the loser of this game has to make a video of them singing the winners fight song and post it on Facebook. My Dad has never wavered once in that we would dominate this game since he made that bet. Hope he's right.

You better not be going to the game...

I'm not.

Better make sure Majors isn't going because he was the one who brought bad luck that day.

Had beaten Florida (at home) and LSU on the road with Fulmer as interim HC. Majors recovering from heart surgery felt pressure to come back. The rest is history

I picked both OU and UF to beat us, so I'm no sunshine pumper. I think we win Sat. 27-24. I also think we finish the season 8-4.

All I read was "make Fulmer interim HC".

A drugged out lady with tape on her nose singing songs about football. I forget sometimes that there are people out there doing stuff like that. They have real jobs and stuff too.

Someone should explain to her that just because you CAN do a thing has absolutely no bearing on if you SHOULD do it and if you do it then for the love of all that is holy DO NOT post it anywhere near the Internet.

Ok. It game day. Already hearing about the weather keeping folks away but my happy azz will still be in the stands come kickoff. Tailgate will be smaller and slightly more subdued but will happen all the same. I am ready to watch our VOLS roast some wild boar! Everybody lock your gas tanks!

Holy pig roast, Batman! That's some serious humping.

I remember 2006. Took a bunch of Arkansas customers to the game. We played horribly, dropped several touchdown passes.
When we left the game they only wanted to listen to local postgame call in broadcast.

Arkansas hated Tennessee with passion! They hated Fulmer vehemently! Longest 4 hour drive of my life. My tongue still has holes from biting it!
Whip therin a$$!
