‘23 Recruiting Forum: Official Austin Peay Pregame/Game Thread

Ohio State won 35-7. That’s not a huuuuge beat down. New clock rules and ****** refs made the game appear closer than it ever really was. I get the frustration but good lord, wait until next week before making judgments on the rest of the season.

That’s the sloppiest 17 point win I can recall seeing.

Obvious vanilla play calling on offense, Milton still sputtered to 228 and 2 TDs with a 3rd rushing.

Defense was playing 2 deep starting in the 2nd quarter.

I am mostly concerned about OL play, they will need to step up play against SEC DLs.

That opening drive and early game, we were taking shots. Bad passing and dropped balls shot us in the foot so badly, it was obvious there wasn't much confidence in the passing game.

It became obvious when Heup only seemed to dial up easy pass screens and short throws. Did we throw a bomb all game?

If Milton gets in his head and doesn't show up, this offense crumbles. QB inconsistency kills confidence

Tamu lost today
Uf has lost
Bama is losing
UK barely scraped by today
Vandy lost
Mizzou is mizzou

Relatively speaking...
UF lost to a really good team. Bama is losing to a good team. UK isn’t a top 10 team favored by almost 40 at home. Vandy? Really? Missouri isn’t ranked.

You can put lipstick in a pig all you want. We aren’t a good team. We likely get skull drugged by UF.
