This is what I surmise. When the going gets tough, they are soft and quit. When the breaks go against them, they lay down and do not try harder(put on more steam). Have seen it repeated with Auburn being the only exception. Still can’t figure Auburn out. Was at that game and the feeling then was the same as when Butch and Palardy won against USCE and we all know now that Butch failed.

If we stay in the game close or ahead, we will win. If we get down, then this team of quitters will quit. If our coaches have fire on the sideline then we will at least know they haven’t quit. But if not, then not only do we lose but CJP is done. Otherwise, he’s got about 25 more to purge and then replace with quality ability and mindsets before we go bowling. We have to get the breaks and get them early. Like I predicted earlier, we lose today.

I agree but I hope during the purge the new guys don't get infected with the bad culture.

Just how we like it...ready to be kicked again. I’ve already fell halfway to the other side. Tonight can only bring me back to the middle of the fence. It will take us winning the next three to get me back to believing that Pruitt is the guy.

Today’s game is huge. I really don’t even want to think about how bad it will be if we lose another right after GaSt. Biggest game since.....Texas A&M 2017? Lost that one and it’s been a down hill slide ever since. Should’ve won the East that year. Fans, players, recruits, and Pruitt need the W.

I don’t believe the line issues - on both sides of the ball - can be fixed in a week. So I’m not expecting either side to dominate nor do I expect them to blow the other team off the ball.

Here’s my minimum expectations, win or loss:

Competent pre snap lineups. Can’t have two guys on the line for a ton of plays like we did last week.
Quick play action reads on offense. Stop making JG read the defense. One or two reads, then swing it to one of the backs.
Stop with the turnstile at each position. Find your best players and play them.

Maryland looks pretty good, despite Locksley having that other guy's players, and despite the off-season shatshow.

got my work in the backyard done. got my errands run. now watching Vanderbilt lose.....put the flag back on the house, got my orange on, got a big ol fat ribeye to cook tonight and a ton of beer and whiskey.

After dreading it all week, I’m getting more excited about the game as we get closer to kickoff.

A lot of questions will be answered tonight.

That would be a disaster. Just because JJ has heart does not mean he has any business playing qb

JJ was a 4 star athlete who played QB in HS. He spent about 1 or 2 practices at QB for the Vols and then moved to WR

For me, I would love to see a fast start, not a historical trait, by design or personal so far. Doubt it happens this game, but I bet the leaders will step up and take over the game. 35-17 Vols
