The point is that Kentucky was patient with him and gave him time to build something. Pruitt may legitimately still be struggling by year 3. We really won't have a choice but to be patient with him given the state of the program now.

That's what I'm saying. Haslams and their cronies aren't happy that Fulmer is back in power after the Currie/Schiano debacle. They would love nothing more than for Pruitt to stumble so that they can swoop in and fire both and restore the status quo. That's why I think Fulmer will go down swinging and will actually "help" Pruitt behind the scenes. He knows he has a chance to bring UT to the mountaintop again indirectly, and he also won't stand for seeing his hire fail.
