'18 Recruiting Forum: Official Charlotte Pre-Game/Game Thread

This is complete BS. JG had a crap day and as a result Offense had a crap day. He did shite to help the team win today. The W belongs to the defense and special teams.
He was 16-21 for 170 something. That wasn't crap. Not what we would have thought he would have as in yards but when the OC continues to call screens and horizontal passes that go for zero to negative yards, how can you put the blame on him.

I didn't I said he had a crap game and should have no credit on why the team won. The team won because the defense did their job and special teams did an excellent job. Offense did shite and that falls on the QB whether we as fans like it or not.

He missed multiple reads and bailed out to easier throws

Some I agree but I still wouldn't call it crap. Our line, even against the 49ers can't give jg 2.5 seconds consistently on drop backs. There just isn't enough time for him to make the reads. Jg isn't world beating but in my opinion it's not his fault we won 7-3. OL and OC.

I honestly just don’t think he has the ability to hit guys as they break out of routes or know before hand where he should go with the ball.

I honestly don’t think he can read a single thing. But that’s just me. Then everyone is like well he has no time.

Then he has all day to throw and underthrows a guy and then has another all day to throw and overthrows a guy. So....? That alone just makes you wonder a lot of it has to be the QB.

Edit: JG checked one of the run plays directly into the rush.... from the left side.....

JG did all he could. Give me JG all day every day. Most underrated player on our roster by our fans.
It’s hurts nothing to give KC a few series when you have only scored 7 points in the 3rd quarter and see if he can give your team a spark.

He’s appropriately rated as an average QB on maybe the worst offense in school history. How can one possibly underappreciate that? We’ve sucked for so long I suppose our standards have changed.

What’s the story here?

After the second mis allign penalty, Friend was giving it to Richmond as he walked off field and then Pruitt yelled at Friend and then Pruitt gave it hard to drew and walked away. I looked away and then when I looked back drew had ran back toward Pruitt yelling and when Pruitt heard it, he was yelling back and drew moved closer and Trey Smith got him and turned him back to where the OL guys sit.

Ugh! This is not what we need right now. We need all hands on deck and rowing in the same direction, if we are going to have any chance of winning 2 more. Hope they get this worked out.

Pruitt isn't backing off this excellence thing. Perhaps Richmond is in the not buying in crowd.

He's not a good player, especially at OT. He would be better at G. Too late.

If Charlotte was hard for some of you, wait until you see Saturday's game unless there is a miracle on the plains type moment.

Many so called fans standard have changed. But not mine. I still kept my expectations high. We just have to graduate these powder puffs out and start over. And get a OC who has more experince

Personally I think Helton was looking ahead. He called a horrible game because he thought vanilla was all that was needed. Except for the plays with CFA I did like how he mixed up that package

I think it is even deeper than that. They purposely called a very simple gameplan and told the players you must execute to be successful and now the coaches have evidence to show on film. Especially with the number of young guys playing. No scheming up plays to pick up yards with deception. Simple assignments. Win your 1 on 1.
