I agree with the announcer for once. He already went into his tackling position and then the QB went into his slide. How does Altone adjust to that and how does he know the QB is going to slide. Just a terrible rule.
 
I think if they are going to enforce this targeting bs, then they should make the player who got hit come out and go through concussion protocol.

That's a really good idea.

And that’s what they should be looking at. Targeting should be intentional. You can look at the film and see if a guy had intent. The SEC seems to be the worse at discerning what that is.
 
We average 3.6 yards a carry, last in the SEC. That's more than a full yard shorter than the next worst team in the SEC.
