When he started his tackle the guy was still running. Better tackling technique may have prevented the penalty, but the penalty needs to be changed.

The rule sucks for sure. I thought in real time he was late making contact which I thought put him in a bad position.

If it wasn’t targeting he was still going to get an unnecessary roughness penalty.

And that's my main gripe about the rule. I don't think there's any rule that's called in a more blatantly inconsistent way. That hit on Chandler last week was the most obvious helmet to helmet you'll ever see. Yet nothing.
