On Callaway...

"You know, he got around pretty good today," Florida head coach Jim McElwain said after Wednesday's practice. "I'd say take him off the doubtful list and put him questionable to probable as we go. We'll see how that thing goes. He's got to be running 100% for us to put him out there. I know how much it means to him."
Helmet to thigh and see what happens.

He's fine. Donkey man is the worst at trying mask what he's doing

Something is telling me Vols BIG, but I'm taking the safe route. Vols by atleast 10

Vols 20
Fla 10

This is why I think UT wins big... It feels like we have been holding "SOME" stuff back in the first 3 games...

My neighbor is a life long Vols fan (pretty neat because I live in Louisville).
He is what I would classify as a Football Forum type. Very pessimistic and criticizing despite being a die hard fan.
After grousing for the last several weeks, he says to me yesterday "I think we win by 3 touchdowns."

Caught me off guard. Most upbeat thing he's said all season.

I don't know, a lot of usual doubters are thinking we might just boat race those Gators.

And people like me who are usually positive think we are going to lose

Part of me wants to believe the coaching staff has been very conservative in the first three games and will open things up on both sides of the ball. For all the adulation poured out for the Shoop hire, the defense has not been anywhere near what I had hoped it would be. I've been waiting for the DL to create much more pressure leading to more turnovers, just hasn't been happening. If this coaching staff is anywhere near the caliber it takes to win the SEC, we will see a different gamelan using the talents of all these top ranked "bricks".

JMO, this staff is capable and will get it done this week!

I know everybody will be annoyed by this but going to give it a try.

Heading to my first Tennessee game this weekend.

Was hoping I could get a few suggestions on things to do both on Friday and Saturday.

Friday - planning on walking around campus and trying to get dinner at Calhoun's but not sure how packed it would be. Any good restaurant/bar recommendations for 3 guys in their 20s?

Saturday - Wakeup and go to gameday. Can somebody let me know around what time the Vol Walk would be? Also, are there certain bars that kids usually pregame at close to the stadium? We do not really know anybody to tailgate with.

Any help would be great #WGWTFA

I have no clue what to think. My friend thats a Florida fan thinks they have the best defense in the country.

I said ours isn't so bad either.

So much weirdness going into this game. No idea how it's gonna play out, but my gut says we find a way to get out of there with a win.

I'm not feeling too great about it. Our staff hasn't been able to get our offense to come out and play mistake free yet. I don't have confidence in Butcj or Debord to have them prepared.

We did have 404 yards of offense last game though.

Guys playing loose with the ball, penalties, OL still blowing assignments, and dumb playcalling still have me worried.

Our offense looked better at this point last season, IMO. They seem to have regressed in pretty much every area except downfield passing, which has admittedly looked better thus far.

We have the talent to do it obviously, nobody will deny that. But our staff hasn't done a good job of preparing them and putting them in position to play to their potential this far.

They had played Oklahoma and were focused. IMO

This team is loaded and playing like they are only out for the big games.

This team looked worthless after the Arkansas game last year. But then they woke up during the Georgia game and never really looked back.

If there is a great performance in this team I have to believe we're going to finally see it on Saturday.

Nobody knows how it's going to go. I'm choosing to stay positive.

Only reason I believe we've been holding thing back (at least on offense) is there is no possible way our play calling can be as bad as we've seen so far.... I hope.

Hey I think he's that good not discounting either of the two in front of him.

He has 3 carries.

... 3

Hurd is a very complete RB, and is often asked to do stuff that aren't his strengths.

Kelly's 3 carries are North & South meanwhile I'd say a good 40% of HURD's carries are of TE off tackle variety where his pads are parallel to the LOS to start SMH

Kelly is more for this offense, IMO. I agree with what you said. Hurd is best for a pistol/I-form line-up. I miss those days of seeing the I-form as our go-to line-up.

We will miss Hurd A LOT.

Wished we'd run to his strength.

Doesn't matter who is a better fit when our RBs are getting hit at or behind the LOS.

Take Hurd away from this offense the last two years and how do you think it performs?

I belive Hurd has shown he is a strong back with decent speed that's runs with authority occasionally. He has also shown to have average vision. He's a good back but Kelly is going to thrive.
