I fully expect Trask to be Tebow 2.0 and throw for 300 and run for 100.
Gators 45
Vols 17

Edit: I thought about making the first sentence blue font, but per TN's exemplary past against backup QB's, I went ahead and didn't... hope I'm wrong btw as this will be the first game I get to watch live this year.

My head says Fl but my heart says Vols.
...
Now, if we pee down our leg like we normally do against Fl none of this will matter. It might take more recruiting to get over that fear because our upperclassmen are so used to losing and blowing it. But if we play our best game and take care of the football we can beat them.

Going with my heart:
Vols 24
FL: 20

Didn’t we beat them in 2016 with Jauan Jennings basically owning the entire Florida team?

We might have a handful of older dudes who can actually attest - hey we really can beat these guys.

(Of course that was with Dobbs making magic and not JG at the helm)

What is realistic with the back up? No toney?

The match up that matters hasn't changed.

Their front 7 against our offensive front.

I still give them an edge there.

The counter is what can our defensive front so against their offensive line, which is young, and with a back up QB forced in to action? That.... Is what we have all these great defensive coaches for.... Supposedly.

In the end I don't think we generate enough of a running game... And while I think JG had a much better game this week... That front seven of Florida is the difference.

We need to win there turn over battle.. At least +2, to have a chance.

Better showing than last year as we don't have as many critical errors.

But our offense isn't stout enough to overcome... And our defense keeps it within shouting distance....

On to the bye...

31-27 Vols
Jennings goes OFF!!
Ty pops one, Bryce houses one..
Let's go!!

I believe their D will sellout to stop the run and dare JG to beat them over the top. It's the smart move.
Hopefully JG is up to the task. Hopefully our O Line gives him time to get rid of the ball and keep his helmet on his head.
The soft spot in their D will be behind their LBs, in front of their Safety's. Quick slants and YAC would exploit this and force them to adjust and back off the line of scrimmage. This is a game tailor-made for JJ. Feed JJ!

GBO!

Well, that thinking would have you correct something like 15 of the last 17 years. Using my brain has me wrong something like 15 of the last 17

This team still has a lot to prove to me, after the debacles the first 2 weeks. Glad we won Saturday, but they didn’t prove anything to me, and if anything, it gave me even more concern about the state of our DL. We couldn’t get any push against a FCS OL, and they ran the ball very effectively against us. That’s a huge worry. Someone else mentioned this, but our tackling is so sloppy. We would hit a guy a yard behind the LOS, then he gains 2 yards. We hit and then pull down or forward, instead of driving backwards. There is a lot that they have to prove to me before I can pick them to win again. So in the meantime...

We losin’ until we ain’t.

I have been conditioned to think the same as well. My head tells me this should be a 10pt game, my gut tells me otherwise. I see JG making a of critical TOs, Florida gets a couple of short fields. We kick a bunch of FGs...
