O

Receivers were running wide open against scheme, not busted coverage. Agree Richardson played great but we never adjusted at all and Banks has proof points that he can’t coach 3rd or 4th down.
UF was less than 50% on third downs. You're crazy if you translate that into "can't coach 3rd downs."

UF was playing desperate and going for it every 4th down. Tip your hat to them for making it a better game than we expected, and then enjoy the win.

Anyone who wishes to has a right to complain about whatever they wish. I will never, ever be unhappy with any win over a rival. We haven't had any of those in over half a decade. We have 2 weeks to get healthy and better. This team battles and has found a way to win against 2 very physical and talented teams. That's 3 top 20 opponents beaten by Heupel since his arrival. If you wish to complain in the face of those facts, be my guest. I choose to celebrate and look forward with great anticipation to a great season unfolding.

I think people like you mistake players not making a play equals bad coaching. We were aggressive on offense for almost 3.5 quarters. Some penalties, a fumble from Fant and our OL not consistently getting a push in the run game kept this from being a bigger win.

Defensive gameplan was extremely solid and very aggressive. We stopped the run game....even Richardson didn't tear us up on the ground even though he had solid numbers. The pressure was good play calling and got AR off his spot but he was able to evade enough blitzes to extend plays and find WRs one the play broke down. He had not previously shown the ability to hit on those plays.

UF has a better OL than us and the DL is comparable with probably a slight edge to UF. Our scheme and ability to wear down their lack of DL depth late allowed us to salt the game away on the ground. Add in some timely "bend don't break" defense and we were in position to be in charge late. We slowed our tempo to leave UF's mostly anemic passing game with their only option since they were down three scores late.

This win is 100% on our coaches for their schemes, play calls, player development in key positions and smart situational awareness to play the numbers. The odds were overwhelmingly in our favor in the last few minutes and only a silly mistake from being too aggressive could have improved UF's odds. Our coaches know when to be aggressive and when to milk clock. They also aren't afraid to stop the clock to avoid penalties, being in the wrong scheme, being misaligned or just being in a bad match-up or risking confusion. Once again, good coaching and a ganeplan that set us up for a win without one of the best WRs in the country and limited RB depth.

Yikes man, if you think the Defensive game plan was extremely solid, Ima need to check back in with you down the schedule when good passing teams light our ass up... We are not going to be able to go through the season just outscoring everyone and giving up almost 500 yds on Defense... And you were good with running it up the middle 3 times to turn the ball over so that they could go straight down and score a TD in 38 seconds? You must look at the game differently and that's cool...

We won.

Yeah the defense was okay for about 50 minutes. UF played a good game. They were gambling and got hot. IF TN had played better on D the game would have been an absolute blowout. I see now why the line was -11. If TN had stopped 1 more of the 4th downs they could have easily been up 20+ points at one point. The offense played amazing and they’re going to be even more of a nightmare to stop when Tillman gets back. I don’t care what anybody says…TN is a good team and today was a great win. Glad we have a bye week to prepare for LSU.

Exactly--- Heup did his best BUTCH impression and ran it up the middle 3 times where he could have pressed and scored and put it away. He Also called timeouts to stop the clock instead of letting it run... First time I've seen very poor coaching from him. Almost cost us the game, but most on here don't see it, they just say "YAYYY WE WON!" and don't look at the particulars and how they will burn us down the road.

Our staff coached a mediocre game at best and I really look at this game as not so much that we won, but that time ran out for FL to beat us...

Our defense LB/secondary will cost us at LEAST 2 losses this season if things aren't dramatically changed.... AL, GA, and KY will FEAST on this secondary... just the facts right now...
You are a miserable person and pretty soon you will be talking to yourself because everyone will have you on their ignore list like I am doing now. Welcome to Orange Studs ignore list you moron.

Imagine how Gator fans feel right now. Brings a smile to my face.
4-8 this year for UF would be awesome. Losing to us and Ky will mess with them for the rest of the season. I hope the wheels fall totally off in Gainesville and they get their turn of 20 years of misery
