He also kept there from being 2 or 3 minutes left on clock. You criticized me on Banks and you go after Heup? Are you watching?
Banks play calling wasn’t bad. Players didn’t make the play at times but they made them in clutch time to get the W and at the end of the day, that’s what you play for. I love the hell out this team. The coaches didn’t give up on them and neither should we. We should be DAMN proud of the progress we made since the Pruitt debacle. No one would’ve expected Us to be ranked inside the top 10 in year 2 and I am believer in whatever the hell these coaches are selling. We haven’t even gotten a 4 year class worth of depth, yet here we are about to be inside the Top 10 in year 2. If you can’t get behind this team, screw you,

Do some you even stat?

Gave up 453 yards passing to one of the more mediocre passing QB's in the SEC. No UF running back gained over 3.9 YPC. What does that tell you? What should it tell you?

Banks and Martinez. Period. Scheme, coverages and d-back development. They embarrassed themselves putting that product on the field. They've got to get better as coaches before the players can get measurably better.

One can be both happy and believe we need a new DC and secondary coach. I’m ecstatic and they also need to go.

453 passing yards to a QB who couldn’t throw the last two weeks. It’s easy when guys are wide freaking open.

One can also see that the coaching and schemes are sound and that we are playing aggressive because that is the only way we can generate enough pressure and our DBS are not good enough to play on an island. Hadden and Christian Charles are two of the exceptions to this and show that it's more of an issue with personnel then coaching or scheme because those guys are making SEC starter type plays. Beasley has come a long way as a linebacker and Banks has continued to play well mostly due to his athleticism but he has also exhibited traits of good coaching, better gap integrity and overall discipline. BY continues to be a force that opposing teams have to scheme around, Tyler Baron is not far behind him and Omari Thomas has significantly improved. Our guys are routinely stuffing the run, staying and passing lanes and affecting the quarterbacks vision by getting their hands up and changing throwing angles or causing deflections. Their conditioning also looks great and you don't see many of our guys needing to come out because they are tired. Good coaching through strength and conditioning there.

Our coaches have taken a gutted program with little Talent and have infused it with some Talent, but not nearly enough, and have us playing solid on both sides of the ball with some guys playing fantastic. Lots of our guys are far exceeding anything they have done under previous coaching staffs at UT or their former schools. Even our weaker links are playing better than they did in the past, they just have hit their ceiling and don't have it in them to be elite or, for some, above average players. Taking kids like that and putting them in positions to win is yet another sign of good coaching. Just wait and see what we look like with a full cupboard of Blue Chip players at every level. Our coaches have shown the ability to maximize the potential of their rosters.

Blaming the coaches for any of our breakdowns or bad play seems very short-sighted and is willfully ignoring that our roster is not where it needs to be yet and that are schemes are covering up flaws that would be heavily exploited under the past few coaching staffs at UT and probably Fulmer. We saw how little success Fulmer had when he was not able to put more talent on the field than his opponents. It's sometimes seemed that he was only able to win with significantly more Talent and had a lot of close calls and some losses to far inferior teams. We won't see this under Josh Heupel's staff unless it is a one-off or major fluke.

I'm glad the officials were out of the game for the most part, but FL oline was tackling our d linemen on every qb rollout it seemed. Ton of no calls.
I remember one in particular where their olinemen had his arms wrapped our our dlineman’s waist from behind, pulling him backwards… the most blatant holding I’ve ever seen and close to the qb… no call
