I wish a bad blindside call could result in a crack back on the ref. Joe should have thrown a missile at his nuts.

Doneiko didn’t play. Heupel said he was “unavailable” welp... guess another team meeting.
I’d expect another stinkier vs UTSA
Suspending players for your biggest game of the year (some would say) instead of handling internally is dumb. Can’t have your best DB out for that game. I think Heupel took UF lightly and so did the team and they punched us in the mouth the first half. By then it was too late because Milton ain’t it.

Linebacker lapses are the big issues with defense so far. DB's aren't great but it's obvious they are taught not to jump and commit. Just play the body and run with them, keep them in front of you.

The linebackers have not been getting it done......

The d line, especially interior isn't getting home and being disruptive in run game. They are fine in pass situations.
Are you related to Milton? Literally dogging every unit in the team this page but Milton. Dude was bad too lol

how did the staff not know we were this bad at qb? and line of scrimmage? i mean, is spyre really struggling that much?

i'm all about supporting my vols. but i dont see this team getting good enough to make any noise.

i trust josh huepel, but i'm not 100% sold on rest of this staff. and i hate to say this. because i truly believe in continuity. but there may need to be some changes if things don't get better.

the austin peay game wasnt an anomaly. that should never happen. losing like that to a really bad florida team, shouldn't happen.
Milton is a different QB in practice. In practice, it’s scripted and running smooth. When he starts to have to process or adjust, he can’t handle it. Literally had a VFL tell me he and Nico were the best QB duo in the nation from watching a practice. He just doesn’t translate to the game.

He's who I thought he was..... He was fine against Clemson.... But he doesn't have the help he had then.
He has everyone that he had against Clemson but two OL really. Truth is clemson wasn’t good with that freshmen QB and he hit a few bombs. Truly sucks because from all practice reports, he was killing it. Pressure can be detrimental to some athletes no matter how talented.

ESPN stated an interesting stat on Joe Milton, he has not completed a pass on the move…..

Wasn’t his TD pass to Bru last night on the move? I’d have to go back and watch but I thought if he was still in the pocket he was climbing in the pocket when he threw it. Maybe that doesn’t count

We get it. You don't like him. Nico won't be any better behind this OL. They're bad. Really bad. He won't be protected and there's no reason to get him broken. Barring injury, which behind this OL is definitely a possibility, Milton is the QB the rest of this season. Bitching about it won't change it.

Nico has great pocket awareness and can move smoothly to avoid the rush and poor Joe is just clunky and can't make even the subtle moves needed to make defenses react and moves players open. Nico is already a better QB and will grow to do even more. I would be surprised if Joe doesn't start but Nico will play next week and you will see with your own eyes. Nico will come in because Joe has done well and we have a big lead or , well, you know what comes after the or...............and that would mean Nico playing going forward.

He was moving to his left, when he threw it.

The SEC officials rigging games is so bad that I am struggling with why I even watch.
The officiating was bad enough in UF's favor that I don't dismiss this out of hand, but there's just no benefit to the SEC for Florida to win that. Tennessee is a bigger drawing brand, our success is far better for the SEC than UF's. I really think the SEC officiating is just incompetent, and that manifests in calling games one sided sometimes, especially in favor of the hoke team.

It's anti-Tennessee bias in the Birmingham office. See posts today from @LA Vol.

We aren’t redshirting Nico so might as well try him vs UTSA. I’d rather finish the season 8-4/7-5 and know that we went 8-4/7-5 but we’re in good hands next year with Nico as opposed to wondering what we even have in Nico because we were so blind to Milton’s ineptitude.

Was rooting for Joe but he’s a lost cause.

Has all the athleticism in the world but can’t put it to good use. Unfortunately is what it is.

Yeah we really got favorable calls last weekend. Really got favorable calls against Ole Miss in Neyland. It’s blatantly skewed. It’s not incompetence…it’s what they are told to do. It’s starting to get so blatant and frustrating, that it’s pushing some away and we are losing interest.

We got really favorable calls against Bama last year, which kind of makes the "Birmingham loves Bama so much that they hate Tennessee" conspiracy lose its credibility.

No, we did not. Bama's interception that was called back was indisputable defensive PI: he had his arms wrapped around our WR receiver, and there is clear photographic evidence.

The other call the Bammaws and their media sycophants cited was the no targeting call on Bruce Young. There was no targeting: the call was correct. The network contributed to the false narrative by showing the deceptive angle perhaps 7 times while it was under review. But if you recall, at the last moment they showed the play quickly from the front of Bryce Young and it showed beyond a shadow of a doubt that the contact was with the shoulder, not the helmet. Even Gary Danielson (!!!) said so, albeit very quickly, as I said, and only after spending 90+% of his time establishing and emphasizing a false narrative.

The major bad call in that game was for Bama and seemed to be of the outcome-changing variety: Bama's offensive PI in the endzone when the Bama WR pulled our DB to the ground by the back of his jersey. That wrong call was actually made by the SEC crew a second time on review, when everyone could see the PI was on Bama.

That whole spiel about calls was Sabey propaganda. I admit I was shocked that they called things against Bama at all, but they were absolutely correct calls. And I think the odds of us getting fair officiating at Bama this year approach zero.
