Recruiting Forum: Official Georgia Pre-Game/Game Thread

The funny thing is that if we had gotten the first down after running it three time in a row, you and others would be saying that was brilliant playcalling by the coaching staff.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't punting from the 34 yard line lead to our defensive score?

Different punt

100% this. That's really the only thing that's puzzling to me. Is it the coaches telling him not to keep or is he just not keeping it?

When he's running it's no coinsidence the passing lanes also open like the Red Sea for the throw game. But for some reason they handcuff the kid. I don't get it.

It's a big win, I'll take it. Love the team fighting till the end. The staff MUST get these guys to start competing earlier in games. It's literally an every week thing. It's a win over UGA and puts us in command of the East. This team learns to get after it from the opening kick and we'll be in ATL for the SEC title game. Yesterday may have been a little help from the man upstairs, and I'm thankful. Go Vols!

Can't give a guy like Eason,Freshman or not, a chance to just sling it in hurry up... That guy is going to be a headache the next few years

He was pretty inconsistent. He has time to correct that, but it'll be interesting to see which way he goes.

I was more impressed with Appleby, given the hype difference between the two.

When given time Eason will kill you. But if he senses any type of heat he's as bad as it gets. Terrible on blitzes. But he has as good an arm that's come through the SEC in a while.

I still can't believe 13 gave up on the play MANNN how do you stop running there and in that spot!?!???!!

Thank you Jauan Jennings.

Him and Hurd both are really lucky JJ saved them by actually playing through a whistle.

UGA actually prepared very well for design QB runs. We called a few and got very little. Their DEs were being very disciplined. Dobb's big gains on the ground were all on breakdowns during passing plays.

I'm so spoiled by Dobbs' running ability. Every time he gets pressured I fully expect him to take off and bust a 15 yard run.

Eason and Nauta are going to be hell to defend over the next 2 years

DKJr in there is a different story. Warrior will take over one of those safety spots next year as well. TKJr is a solid safety but in man coverage he's a liability.

Georgia attacked Jumper and exposed the weak area of the defense. Chaney is smart but also still has his idiot moments when he should have ran that 3rd and 3.

According to Hyams, Dobbs only kept it one time in the first half and one time in the second half on the zone read. His other runs were all scrambles.

I am not talking about zone reads. I believe we ran a couple designed QB runs. I remember 1 for sure. And it was stuffed.

He's a true freshman.

Dude is gonna light up the SEC.

I love the fact that we are 1-0 against him. He has two more chances and then it's off to the league for him.

No Aaron Murray crap where it feels like he's in Athens for 9 years and beats us annually
