Immense overstatement
I wouldn't say we made zero effort to get the first, UGA made some damned good plays. I also wouldn't say I loved the running plays called. I would have mixed in at least one designed QB run-- probably on 2nd down.
Dobbs is throwing some picks, but he's having a freaking year.
Nearly 1,100 yards passing, 13 TDs, 371 rushing yards and 5 TDs rushing.
The man gives us a chance in every game. EVERY. SINGLE. GAME.
He can be inconsistent at times, but I still love him. We don't end THE STREAK without Josh. We don't have a 2-game steak over UGA without Josh. Dude is a baller, and he's played a huge role in getting the Vols back to relevance. Gotta love him.
One that one pick tonight, I'm not sure he was all there.
There were 2 helmet to helmet hits on him that should have been a penalty. It's ridiculous! You have a rule, and it can even be reviewed if the helmet to helmet contact was missed by the officials in real time, and they still don't get it right.
His crazy runs to stop the bleeding and go into the half 17-7 were beautiful. He would not be denied.
At times I have been ready for his era to end, but goodness, I would love for him to be a RS JR right now. His intangibles are through the roof.
I stand by 0 effort. Players made effort, but the play call was 100% going for a punt.
I stand by you being 100% wrong. Playing for the punt would have been 3 straight runs up the gut in the exact same set. We ran different plays including an off tackle run.
It's ok to be wrong though. I mean, there always has to be someone that is wrong for someone else to be right.
