It’s not just that. Our defense really isn’t that good. No pass rush whatsoever. A lot of talent on the offensive line but they can’t muster 20 yards rushing. Will Friend needs to leave.

We beat up on crappy teams and absolutely **** the bed when we play a good team.

It’s tough to build an entire defensive front but he’s really not had a hit along the line. Darrel Taylor, shy, and Phillips have been our only bright spots up there.

I agree. As bad as we played in the first half it could have been a shutout. Or gotten beat by a whole lot more. We played terrible the whole game and its like it switched. First half O looked good and D sucked and then second half O sucks and D looks good.

We didn't come prepared to play today.

We were caught off guard by how fast and physical they were.

This led to many mental mistakes and penalties, esp on the OL.

Play calling didn't help but not much we could do.

Several blown coverages on D and no pass rush.

Got our asses handed to us.

Go home and lick our wounds, put a new QB in place in practice next week and get ready for UK.

My feeling on it as well. I said last season that I wont second guess Pruitt on this QB situation, but since we are trotting this kid out there over and over, I have to assume the other QBs we have can barely manage to tie their own shoes.

I don’t know that I agree. He is trash against any good team, consistently. It’s a lock. He has just taken 5 years to get to a point where he can beat inferior teams.

This is correct. We’re ahead of schedule, for the most part.

But we have at least even talent on the O Line and they got embarrassed. Can’t let that happen again.

OL for sure needed to be better. But our fifth year QB still not seeing blitzes or adjusting protections is an issue. Plus him padding stats with dumb short passes and not getting first downs is just getting old. I can’t wait to see how everyone reacts when Bailey takes the field for the first time.

I don't have a problem with short passes. Playing small ball can win you games. Take the short safe throws, just not on 3 and 15. You've got to stay ahead of the sticks.

I disagree on the play calling. It was awful. No pre snap motion to signal man or zone. No bunch or stacks to help our WRs get some easy releases. They were completely locked at the line all night. No sprint outs, no tunnel screens to help our OL. Just not creative at all. Only reason we have 14 is because Palmer is about to get paid.

Can we all just come to a consensus and agree that “playing a good first half” means absolutely nothing. It was said many times under Butch and is meaningless.

We just racked up another 20+ point loss against our rival and didn’t look remotely competitive again.

JG isn’t great, but I’m flummoxed how anyone can think This game was on him. He was constantly under duress, he had no running game, and the plays called for him were suspect.
