'20 Recruiting Forum: Official Georgia Pregame/Game Thread

Don’t understand anyone being particularly negative. We probably thought this team was a little further than it actually is.
I was surprised by the 1st half score. Our inability to run the ball was worrisome along with how long the defense was on the field.
UGA took advantage of turnovers and just wore down our defense.
OL play has to be better. I know I have mentioned this already, but the dirty play that took out Simmons was a game changer. He is a space eater and we really missed him. What UGA did to him is just down right cheap.

I’m not upset with you or by your posts, it’s expected and at the same time, monotonous. Just being Jack. 😒

And I’m not wrong. My criticisms are sound. How many good coaches do you know lose by 3 TDs to their rivals year after year? I’d like to see a list of coaches that lose that much, dig their way out, and finally find real success. I doubt it’s very long.

What got me pause, AV said we were going to throw everything at them. Don’t get me wrong, I still believe we are headed in the right direction. This game doesn’t change how I feel, but we are probably a class of getting there. This isn’t the end of the season, it’s one lose and showed where we are as a team.

You guys do realize that we are extremely young ALL over the field right? These games are only going to get tougher for UGA and Bama to win, not easier as time goes on...the worst thing we can do as a fanbase right now is go back into negative cancer mode. This is just going to take longer than we want.

Agreed.

We are who most of us thought we were going into this game. Felt we had a puncher’s chance, but knew deep down we are a mid-tier SEC team right now.

That’s better than being a low-tier.

We’ve ran through coaches for a decade +.
Time to settle in and let Pruitt and company go to work. Most of us felt this was a 7-3 / 6-4 season with this schedule.

We still have some good opportunities on the schedule. Today was a test. We ain’t ready for the upper tier, but this ain’t time to go toxic and throw in the towel.

Some of y’all have forgotten what it’s like to be a winner.

You don’t want a team to run up the score on you and spare your feelings? Then nut the F up and stop them. Don’t cry about it after like a little bit*h.

I hate hate hate hate HATE Kirby and the dawgs more than any other team currently but this idea that the team on the opposing sideline owes us anything is some weak, crybaby, losing attitude bullsh*t.
I haven't forgotten what it's like, and we didn't allow him to do it. To your point, most people who win all the time don't do it when it's a sure win.. It would serve him right if his first string was hurt for being an ass hat.

And it was totally 100% on purpose

I think the biggest disappointment for most of us is that the OL wasn’t up to the task...at all.

None of the OL was good, but most of the problems were with our true sophomore tackles (Wright / Morris). Georgia outside rushers gave them fits.

Literally who in a 7-3 season would we beat thats good?

It’s about ascending up the SEC ladder. We aren’t gonna compete with Bama / UGA until become better than all the rest.

Our program was in such a bad place, progress will be incremental. Settle in. We are climbing.

Maybe google it. We all have criticisms, but that’s where you hang your hat.

JG got zero help from 3rd and longs that play to GA’s strength, Chaney not trying to establish a run game, and the O Line whiffing a lot.

But in year 3 we should be competitive and once again we aren't. Thats not progress.
