Look at OM between Freeze and Kiffin. We are barely above that talent level. Then add this year's class being trash. So next year will be the first good class then give those guys 2-3 years to develop. It's gonna be a minute

Meh.

Next couple, maybe, just go to bowl games and build depth. See where we are in year 4 & 5. Both sides in the line of scrimmage need work, and that usually takes the longest to develop. That's the thing in the back of my mind. We're a long ways off on the ol and dl.

You have no idea if this class is "trash" yet. Let it play out. Lol. I don't necessarily disagree with you that it might take 4-5 years to match up roster wise with the UGAs and Bamas, but we should continue to own Mizzou, Scar, Candy, UK and all those scrubs.

Yep. This class being bad doesn't help anything either. Just sets things back an extra year.

It shouldn't be any worse than this year. Plus the schedule should be favorable. Pitt is losing their star QB. LSU and UF will have first year coaches though LSU will still have tons of talent. I suspect a ton of transfers from UF though.

I do think it has a chance to be worse, roster-wise. Just depends on who we end up with in the next few months, and the QB situation.

Those you listed are why I said 7-5. Gonna be 4 years of best who you should. Maybe 8 if the OOC game is easy. But UF and LSU are probably going to hire winners and both teams have 9 win rosters off the rip

Everyone pump the brakes. Huepel won't be able to recruit at a high level until the NCAA cloud isn't hanging over us. That could be another year or two. We won't win many, if any big time recruiting battles until that's over. Only then will we know if Huepel can recruit.

All the talk about a couple of classes and it's go time isn't giving him a fair shake. He's scheming a top tier team, he just doesn't have the pieces to compete against the better teams in the SEC or NCAA. You don't have to like it, hell I don't, but it is what it is and there's nothing we or he can do to change it.
