Build through recruiting and stack depth. Adding transfers just screws up your upperclassman/ underclassman ratios and creates more holes on the roster in the future.

Young and Evans were JUCO's not portal.
Cade sure. Hooker would be gone if COVID wasnt a thing and theres your hole at QB. Milton who knows he shows promise, but what is there after him?

Glad we finally have coach that’s playing for TD’s not moral victories with FG’s.

Pretty solid effort overall, but definitely not surprised with the outcome. Just didn’t have the horses to keep up with them.

Go look at where they were before he got there. Luke rode through their AA sanctions and stacked and developed 3* depth. Kiffin is in year 2, so post AA violations they are in year 5 of their rebuild. And he still doesnt have the roster to beat UGA or Bama

Agreed Hooker struggled as it was obvious in the Q1. Seemed to be pressing like he knew he had to play a great game. Never really seemed to relax and just play.

Whatever no difference, they come in and play and help win games now, portal, juco .
Proves my point. Take players wherever you can get them.
You’re way we win 3 games a year for the next 2 or 3 and start coaching search #6 in 4

Basically comes down to our inability to run the ball and the defense not getting stops or turnovers.

Hooker had a rough night but expected struggling against the best defense in college. If that’s his floor though then I ain’t mad at him.

Hopefully everyone who can return does so next year. Don’t think anyone is going to be a high draft pick next year, all of them can improve their stock.

I agree on the depth, but disagree on being dismissive on talent. If nothing else this year has shown us casual fans, that talent can be coached and developed up. Last year I gave up on the GA game before it even came on. Hell, I gave up on the freaking KY game, KY!, before the first series. I’ve seen something different this year. Building means adding and getting there. It will take a minute to get there, but I don’t believe it’ll take 5 or 6 years. I didn’t think this year was possible at the start of season. So, now your turn.

Nope, my way is the Clemson model where you have decent talent and depth and hit on a generational QB

Yes and no. Lets look at KY theyre the model of good to decent recruiting and developing. Their ceiling is very limited and they dont have a prayer of even sniffing Atlanta.

It’s a strategy a lot coaches who don’t have a top 15 team right now will use, though. And if you hit on your portal guys and outperform expectations then more talented recruits will take notice.

Quickest way to flip a roster.
