I'm not sure why everyone has forgotten that the UGA game is usually always a closer game, aside from an odd year here & there. We may not cover the spread, but I think it will be close til the end. I expect us to win 31 or 33 to 26ish. If we miss the spread, I think it'll be because of a late scoop & score or something like that.

I'm basing this off the fact we know what we're capable of (ie 1st half bama). We know UGA has looked like a steaming pile of Beamer several times this year.

If we don't trot out the defensive game plan we used on the gatas and mizzou & play more like we did against scarolina or a&m, we could be in this game late.

Also, I did write Santa Clause and ask for us to blowout UGA, so there is that.

Crowd needs to never let up. Dline needs to rattle Beck early.

My daughter and I are going. We both will leave our voice behind.

I also plan to put some Pennie’s in my pockets. Chug a water bottle before the game, put the Pennie’s in thr bottle with thr cap on. Makes a lot of noise when you shake it.

Wow. I'm sure the folks around you cant wait.

Just have a hard time seeing this one being close for four quarters. Even had last week not been a complete disaster, I just think Georgia is too deep for us and has too much firepower on offense. Think we will probably still be in it at halftime, but I don’t see our defense staying strong for four quarters and our offense’s limitations in the passing game will prevent us from being able to keep up. I desperately hope I’m wrong, but I foresee Georgia opening the floodgates on us in the second half.

85% of the tickets and $ is on Georgia but….. the…. line….. decreases??????

👀👀👀👀👀
Someone showed it was 90%+ before.

You also get into nitpicking decisions in Vegas when it's down to deciding to hold or move .5 the day before the game. It's "minimize risk exposure" vs "make a small play on the current exposures"

Not really a criticism. Just a simple observation things are very similar to his days at UCF which is his only other HC job. Guys can grow, change, mature. His emphasis on defense in recruiting gives me hope. Still, if these penalties were something that Heupel really wanted gone, he'd have done it by now. As for recruiting, I agree. We've seen what this offense can do when properly armed. Might get us past UGA and bama, might not. At least an offense like that gives you a shot....if you can get the athletes to run it.
Yeah, there are indeed similarities as I stated in my prior post. UCF fans warned TN that we would see an undisciplined team with penalties each week. I didn’t believe it until I listened to his UCF press conf. Also, I wasn’t aware until today that this team commits more penalties at Neyland than on the road.

Getting behind the chains kills drives and this offense can’t overcome 1st and 20 and 2nd and long.

Hopefully the coaches can develop the current roster as they are Heup’s players. And Heup has to be a top 5-10 recruiter or TN won’t sniff the playoffs. It I’ve tempered by expectations on that TN is a perennial 9-3 team. That’s not to say we won’t compete for SEC once every 7-10 yrs.

Rant incoming:

When me and my wife went out last Friday/Saturday and I couldn't help but notice most Knoxvillians were wearing TN Orange. I'd say it was at least 75% were in VOLS gear. It looked and felt like old times, it was really cool and made me proud. We went out tonight and maybe 10% was wearing Tennessee clothing. Some georgia fans came into the restaurant we were at. You know how I know they were georgia fans, because they were wearing black and red shirts with Gs on them. What is wrong with our people? I know we played bad last week but the #1 team is in town and we need to be proud of our colors and support our team. We're acting like we've already been blown out and it's still several hours away from kick-off. Has Knoxville really forgotten about the 15+ years of sucking? Do people not remember praying we could beat vandy on senior day, just so we would get to 6-6 and get an invite to a lower tier bowl game. We are 7-3, in the top 25, and coming off the best year of football we've had in forever. We were ranked #1, beat florida AND alabama, and had multiple players drafted! Heupel is in his 3rd season and this is the last year for Pruitt's recruits (which I'm not putting down the seniors and I really appreciate the ones that stayed but there is a lack of upperclassmen leadership). I believe next year and beyond is going to be amazing. Listen, we only get 12 UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE football Saturdays, guaranteed per year...... that's it. Show some pride when you go out VOL fans. Wear your colors!

End rant

That’s a great idea about the pennies. I’d never thought of that.

Somebody's going to beat these guys.

I'm sick of them.
Gonna be us today.

I felt from the beginning of the year we would lose one of Kentucky / USCe / Missouri.

I also felt all year we would lose to Bama.

I also have felt all season we will beat UGA

They are due a loss.
Neyland.
We play our one “out of our minds” game for the season.

(The only thing I didn’t expect was the loss to Florida, but it wasn’t surprising)
