Def should've won vs Arkansas. OL injuries hurt us bad bad

Nico's inexperience showed as well. Got to throw it away when needed instead of taking sacks, not run on last play of game, etc.

TRUTHFULLY, I have repeatedly wondered if we didn't intentionally let them score, would they have actually gotten the FG to win?
Yes they would have run out the clock and kicked a fg to win.

You asked for numbers and I gave you numbers. Now you've moved to “wide open players.” That happens in every game with every team.
Look at our rushing numbers for the 4 years he’s been here. The yardage numbers support it too. Bit if you can’t see that guys are open, then nothing else to discuss. Just like Milton missing guys in the Pitt game in 2021. Guys running fee, so it’s not the scheme. It’s ridiculous what people will say when you lose a game.

I'm not sure what your point is? You think 2 loss Tennessee should be ranked above byu?
I think the committee would overlook this UGA loss and keep us in. Holding us back, supposedly, is our SOS and one bad loss (on the road).

What is BYU’s SOS? And what good team have they beat?

Hell Bama lost to Vandy and is ranked above 1-loss teams.

If BYU loses they stay in the playoff rankings while we drop to like 15th. Watch, this will happen. The reasoning will be our SOS while BYU’s will be ignored.

Nothing will surprise me with the committee. Freakin Indiana jumped us because they barely beat a .500 Michigan team. Call it what it is. The committee is comprised of biased, unknowledgeable people who have an agenda. That agenda is not to get the best teams in the playoff. It’s to get the “right” teams in the playoff.

Unfortunately, we gave them ammo to keep us out by not disposing of Arkansas like we should have done. Win that one and we make it impossible for them to keep us out (assuming we beat Vandy).

No reason to think the OL will be any better next season sadly. Lose four starters I believe (five if you consider Dayne Davis a co-starter with Campbell). Multiple current starters are very very average, yet Ellarbee has not developed some of the younger guys to the point where they are better than average. Hard to believe development at that position is going to magically take a step forward.

I will say I think Kelsey Pope is a good receivers coach. Just think the play calling is putting the wide receivers, as well as Nico, in some less than desirable spots.
We run the dig routes so much. I wish we added mesh and ran flood way more. Didn’t see Nico roll out looking for through a flood concept at all this game I don’t think. Those passing concepts are great for getting the ball out and easy to progress through the reads for the QB.

They're undefeated.... In a power 4 conference. You can't really be suggesting they shouldn't be in the top 12?

You act like the power 4 conferences are all the same. In no universe is the Big 12 and ACC on the same level week in and week out like the SEC and Big 10 are.

Then you’re ok with losing a game or 2 per year to inferior teams.

Because Vandy isn’t close to being as talented as we are. And neither is Arkansas
LOL.........No, it means I remember hiring and firing horrible coaches every three years for the past 15 to 20 years.

Who's that home run guy that's can't miss better than Heupel?

Wait until the morning and sober up a little before you start firing the head coach.

I remember we ran on third down in the fourth quarter a route concept that included an outside receiver and an inside receiver running an in route. Clogged everything up and almost led to an INT. Send the inside receiver deep and that opens up the middle of the field for the outside receiver.

I’m not a football schematics savant, but there are just some route concepts that are puzzling when you think about it.
