I just don't understand the constant dogging of QD. Bass shows a clip of QD's first INT of the season but fails to mention that JG should have had an INT when he over threw his WR. The only reason it didn't get picked was because same ISU players were fighting for it. I have nothing but high hopes for JG and think he has a chance to be a good one but how about we pull for the QB that is out there until he actually does something to be benched over. After all he did lead the O to a 95 yrd TD last week to tie the game and to go on to win it.

What bothers me about our D is we seem to not be able to get containment on outside runs. Also, the front four couldn't get pressure on the QB. Just a few things that concern me.

We have two games under our belt and we'll get a full week to rest/practice. UF doesn't have a good offense so I expect us to look pretty good against them.

On offense, we've score 42 in both games and our run game looks stout. Hopefully QD improves a touch but I don't think he's God awful like some others on here. We may not hang 43 on UF, but I like our chances next week.
I'm not calling a loss to UF at all. I just think the D coaches have a lot to prove and I hope they prove me wrong.

We will blitz next week. Guaranteed.

So with all that motion, you think Ignont would have known where to go? Cause I don't.

It doesn't even matter because 1. We weren't losing that game either way and 2. He is athletic enough to make up for pre snap misalignments. And practice reps that you mentioned previously aren't the same as game reps. Ignont needed game reps and Jumper needed rest, period.

Ok. I skipped about 20 pages of what I assume was constant b******* and moaning. Did it help you feel better? Did it change the way the coaches run the team? Hmm.

Here's the deal. We are 2-0. We are breaking in talent all over the field on both sides of the ball. They had a short week and played a grinding physical game 4 days ago. There was bound to be bumps and things were almost certain to look rusty. The OL played pretty well but always room to get better. Both QBs did some good things and some troubling things. It was good to see JG pull one down and run and to get a TD pass. Hopefully that helps his confidence. The receivers looked pretty good and I don't remember any drops on the easy routes. The RBs all looked good. Even the youngins.

The D is troubling. They were tired and slow but the adjusted, finally, to the jet sweeps. Martin still looks out of place but I wonder if playing press coverage would help him be more physical. He just seems lost. The whole DB corps just seems confused and not playing press against those WRs today was strange. The LBs show some good and some bad. The DL needs to crowd the line too. They were getting very little pressure against a much smaller OL. Now, we have yet to blitz at all. No run blitzes and no pass blitzes. Zero. For a DC like Shoop that wouldn't stop blitzing last year I have to think he didn't want to put any of it on film for UF to see. All in all the D played well today but zero sacks and they forced zero turnovers against an inferior opponent. They need to really get it together for next week because UFs offense is slaw and they need to eat!

I'm out again so y'all can continue the b*******.

I recall not having a person capable of fielding a punt. I also recall a long long stretch where we never housed a kick or punt return.

Btw, sid anyone notice QD audible into that td pass in the 2q? How long has it been since we've had a qb audible without getting the call from the sideline? We have a qb guys.

He'll have something dialed up for the slimy ones to the south. Doubt he spent a min on ISU. It will look much different next week, I think.

I understand that we aren't going to show a lot on D, just saying you would think against ISU our front 4 would have gotten more pressure on the QB than they did.

Personally i think if the line van hold up and he starts seeing the field better he can lead us to a lot of wins. He showed last week he could lead the team to a W and that is what you cant teach.

Fromm and Bryant have looked confident as freshmen, QD and JG look unsure of themselves even against a scrub team.

I wonder if our offense is complicated?

Know our own warts better than others. Bet you Florida fans watched that 4th quarter drive by QD last week wishing they could get one to play like that.

Hope you are right, buddy. Wasn't too concerned after Monday night due to the offense we played. A little more concerned after today, because we just play too soft. Hope that changes when they look across and see a gator on the helmet.

I'm not digging him. I'm just pointing out things that are going to get us bear if they aren't corrected. I had high hopes for QD but so far he hasn't lived up to those and he's just been average. I have said repeatedly that I don't know what I would do if I were Butch, but QD has to be better if we're going to win.

I think it has a lot to do with that offense. They make you think every down. Thinking diminishes your advantage, your athleticism. Their qb was also constantly moving and got rid of the ball fairly quickly.

Malone wasn't fast in the game man. And didn't break one short pass for a TD while he was at Tennessee. When Callaway clocks a 4.41 or something at the combine what will you say?

Florida last year Malone catches a short pass and houses it. Guess it defines how you define short. Callaway does look like a different playmaker.

Not playing 23, 14, and 6 on D more was silly. Also why was Kelly in as late as he was and why was 3 not in the game more on O? Did Chandler get hurt?

Not only the experience for the younger guys but rest for the starters.

This. It really blows my mind that anyone would argue against this. Before this game did ANYONE say "I hope our starters play until the last drive because they need the reps"? Nope! We ALL said "get a big lead early and rest the starters". At this point it's a huge stretch to defend the substitution decisions.

SO taking the O down the field to tie the game in the 4th QT. that eventually led to a W against a good football team isn't good enough? Throwing 221 yds no INTS and 2 TD in his first ever start isn't good enough? Maybe your expectations for him are so high he will never meet them. JG didn't look any better in his first game. Not tying to argue with ya just trying to understand why so many are so impatience with QD. Seems some hope QD fails. Not saying you are saying that just some who never give QD any credit no matter what he does right.

You're totally entitled to your opinion. I think you're misremembering Worley. That's all

Worley was awful. Yes, he was Gatorade Player of Year out of HS, but there was a reason he was a 3 Star and that Dooley landed him. Worley was awful (for SEC)

Should have picks? #12 should've thrown a pick the first possession last game. You forgot the LB undercutting the route or what?
