Kentucky's talent & experience is comparable to arky. We'd have to play underwhelming to lose but its happened once this year & this is a rilvary game on the road. Cautious of expecting a big win but if we bring our A game I think we'll get a blowout. If not, we're in for a dogfight.

I would disagree with the bolded part. UK talent is not that strong, especially on defense.

Why do so many think UK scores 20+ on our defense? They are playing better every week, and it will only help more to add Martin opposite of Cam full time. I think the only way they put 20+ on the board is due to turnovers or special teams breakdown. If we play a clean game with no turnovers and no special teams TDs, then they put less than 20 on the board.

I'm with you. The only way I can see Kentucky really doing some damage is if Towles gets hot. Boom is a good back but not good enough to put that team on his back to beat the Vols. Towles has a big arm but is similar to Bray with how he will get frustrated and start slinging it into traffic often. I wouldn't be surprised if we pick him off multiple times

Arky has much better talent and experience, jmo.

In terms of evaluating the 2-deep, Kentucky's average experience is 2.68 & 2.73 years on defense & offense respectively. Arkansas' for comparison is 2.77 years on each side of the ball. So, at least as far as the 2-deep is concerned, that's pretty factual.

Talent can obviously be evaluated in a multitude of ways & there are many intagibles to consider so i certainly respect others opinions as well. When you look at the services' evaluation of recruited talent between these two programs tho, there is really no separation. For the 2-deep, Kentucky's 247 average composite ranking is .8467 on D and .8450 on O. Arky's is .8283 on D & .8693 on O.

UK has actually recruited better than Arky on the D side of the ball. Yds & points allowed per game are virtually identical this year, although I do think Arky has played a tougher schedule.

Take a closer look at the facts i posted above. Arky also lost to Toledo. Toledo. TOLEDO. Lost to Texas Tech who could barely beat 0-346 Kansas. Both played Auburn to a possession. The two teams are more similar than you care to believe, but that doesnt mean our results will be. Arky was a bad loss at home. Period. Kentucky shouldt but could be capable of beating us if we crap the bed like we did against Arky.

Vols will be staying in Cincinnati, Ohio, Friday night. All hotels are booked up due to the Breeder's Cup, and the game. They will get to tour the Cincinnati Bengals Stadium and Coach Marvin Lewis will be speaking with the team. Butch always does such cool things for the players!

That is cool! I'm sure the players will enjoy that diversion.
