Recruiting Forum: Official Kentucky Pre-Game/Game Thread

Tennessee (3-4, 1-3) at Kentucky (4-3, 2-3), 7:30 p.m. EDT, 6:30 central time, on SEC Network (Tennessee favored by 8 ½, o/u 57) – Tennessee is known for losing close games (in overtime to Oklahoma, by a point to Florida in Gainesville, by four points to Arkansas, and last week by five to Alabama) and Kentucky is known for basketball. The APP is very much aware of the post-Alabama problem teams have. They lose to Bama and then lose the next week because of the toil the Crimson Tide has taken on them. We’ve missed the Kentucky pick almost every week. Tennessee 28, Kentucky 24

Come on, boys!! Please, please take all the frustrations of close losses out on the kitty cats tonight, and blow them out of their stadium! I need a stress free night, as I can't watch the game live...my daughter is horse showing this afternoon, then taking her trick or treating afterwards. First game that I won't get to watch live this year.

This game makes me nervous. I think we will be focused and ready. But I also think Kentucky is good enough to give us problems for awhile.

Hopefully we can pile on early and take the crowd out of the game. I would like to dash any hopes they have of winning early on and crush their spirit.

Vols win. Defense slips up a little. But our depth wins in the 4th with the running game.

I want this game to be Hurd's real breaking out party. I want Butch to get him over 150 yards if we can. With him almost topping 100 against Alabama him following that up with a 125+ yard performance would definitely put him into national spot light.

Take a closer look at the facts i posted above. Arky also lost to Toledo. Toledo. TOLEDO. Lost to Texas Tech who could barely beat 0-346 Kansas. Both played Auburn to a possession. The two teams are more similar than you care to believe, but that doesnt mean our results will be. Arky was a bad loss at home. Period. Kentucky shouldt but could be capable of beating us if we crap the bed like we did against Arky.

When will people start realizing that there are 4-5 G5 teams that are really good each year and could be middle pack p5 teams that one year.

Toledo is one of them. Currently ranked. Should Arkansas have lost to them? No. But it's not a bad loss. Texas Tech is a bad-ish loss.

Also yes, could beat us if we aren't ready. But Arkansas has more talent in most spots.
