No lol I’m sure they do but I’m not gonna act like we went into Death Valley and pulled off a victory either. We have way better players than UK and we should’ve won. I said a few weeks ago the only loss that would be acceptable the back hand was @ Mizzou. Vandy, SC, UK, and UAB are inferior rosters than us. We are taking care of business now which i gave the staff a ton of credit for keeping this locker room and team together after their start. That within itself is far more impressive than any game plan you could come up with. I’ve even gave Chaney a lot of credit for fixing the OL and really completely changing what he traditionally does on offense.

My biggest knock on Pruitt and co has been that they lost and even got dominated by bad coaches and/or bad opposing rosters. Will muschamp is a bad football coach, Derek mason is an awful football coach with a bad team. GA state was a bad football team, BYU is a bad football team etc.

so instead of being like @Bassmaster_Vol who is like a dog chasing traffic looking for excuses defending our coach whether it’s was butch or Pruitt. Like when he said we have “the least talented team in the SEC east by far”. Or blaming all the upperclassmen for struggles. I called out bad losses for what they were. Bad losses. We have had the tools to beat these teams and now that this staff has made the adjustments especially on defense this season has became really enjoyable. I do like Pruitt and i really like some of his assistants too. I can tell you from hearing it first hand from Kyle that rocker is really under appreciated is here. I also still think it’s ok to have doubts about Pruitt too though. Next year is going to be a huge year for this staff bc they are losing about 10 guys from the previous staff That are carrying this team right now. But once again I’ll give them the credit they deserve on that too for taking some of those players and making them better.

Rant over but long story short the bitterness from me was caused by a lot of fans putting so much blame on these hold over players acting like they were Carson Newman level and inventing terms like “paper 4 stars” to make up for the time it takes to change a culture, get a team to buy in and let this staff learn to be better coaches,,,, which they have.
And.... this is a Tennessee Vols fans site. We are supposed to be fans not ESPN or PF talking about how green the grass is on somebody else's field. I for one noticed the difference in attitude and plays made when Pruitt got down to the few players that actually wanted to listen and be coached. Doesn't matter how good you are if you don't apply yourself, and Pruitt was blamed for not turning the culture fast enough. Rant over.

Literal sense? Sure. I thought we were talking a though place to play hostile. Any stadium would be hostile according to that even If we played at UTC.
Let me rephrase then...a really hostile environment because they really really really hate us. We have always been their bowl game.

It's classically Kentucky's bowl game and their annual hate game, as anyone who been there will tell you, especially if they are ahead. But the important thing not to lose sight of is that our guys had not yet won on the road this year. It's a part of coming together, and especially useful before playing at Missouri. (Edit: no one thinks it is the same as playing at Florida or at Alabama. The comparison in unnecessary.)

I hate the away game at Missouri. It's a long trip and we normally don't play well.

It blows my mind UK is so obsessed with us.... I mean I know we have not faired well against rivals recently but we were at least at one time not too too long ago the elite of elite... they have never been elite. UT Bama UGA UF have all had some make or break games against each other with championships in the line. We’ve beat up on UK since the dawn of time and they have never been a championship contender.

My equally long, scrollable answer.

Lots of opinion subject to POV in this post. Hit all your bases from Chaney being sole OL coach of resurrection, to still claiming others blamed ALL the upperclassman
Finishing off with all the early losses were on coaching.

1. We've had a few accounts on the OL that contradict yours and they were 1st hand. Assuming being in NJ/NY, yours isn't? Either way, majority.

2. Every post about upper-classmen referenced those that refused to buy in, NOT ALL. And that's been proven to you repeatedly but you continue to spout off your contrived version with eyes and ears closed.

Even pretending that folks were didn't want guys like Jennings might be the worst case of "Fake News" I've read.
Many, many of the others are no longer here and our team has gelled beyond belief. Not a coincidence.

3. GS, agree on coaching. Games like BYU had game plans beyond good enough to win. JG's struggles were absolutely real and we know he changed plays also. Defensively, the right play calls were made in situations and not executed. Example: allowing BYU to get behind our defenders to take us to overtime. Call was correct, as they had been most of the game and inexplicably poorly executed. And there was a thousand more, our guys were in need of "righting" way more than we wanted to admit.

I would think like you also,.. if I only knew the situation thru your heavily biased recanting.
But thankfully I have no need to alter others posts on the seniors and I also have eyes.

Good day sir!

Not only does PJ Fleck play in a much easier conference but he's also a year ahead on his rebuild. He was 5-7 in the big 10 year 1 then 7-6 last year which seems pretty attainable for Jeremy Pruitt this year. Also this season isn't over yet. Good chance Minnesota still drops games to either Iowa or Wisconsin and then loses to Ohio State in big 10 champ.

Good Grief! Somebody please explain why we’re supposed to give a rat’s behind about coach “flake”, his canoe or anything else from the land of cheese?

It’s an Orange & White board so what I care about are our team, our coaches, our games, our recruits and the rest of the SEC teams that stand in the way of our next conference championship.

Some of us love college football in general. Fleck is everything Butch wishes he was. Full of clichés but actually getting results.

The Golden Child Scott Frost is currently 4 and 5 with games against Wisconsin, Maryland and Iowa left. They are most likely looking at a 5 and 7 season after going 4 and 8 in Frost's first season. His best wins are against an unranked Michigan State team last season and a unranked Illinois team this season.
But Martinez was gonna be his golden child...
