Our coaches decided that Kentucky was not going to do to us what they did to Florida. We sold out to stop the run and gambled that Leary could not beat us. They were right, but Leary made it too close for comfort. But in the end, Clean living prevailed and the good guys won!!

If not it would be two full games without a single live game penalty called on our opponents. If that is the case I wonder what the statistics say about that actually happening?

I'd say the odds of 2 perfectly played, pre-snap penalties only, games by our opponents are between 52 and 49 percent.

I mean we’re leading the SEC in penalties per game and the vast majority are on the OL…more to being a good OL than just rushing yards.

All you doom and gloomers need to realize we are to Kentucky what Florida is to us. After next week we will be 7-2 with a chance to define our season the final 3 weeks. Feels good to not be pleased with all aspects of our team and still be looking at 7-2 and a top 20 team.

Perspective:

7-2 at this point in the season sounds outstanding to any Vol fan between the years of 09-21.

The program has elevated itself back, and I am more than pleased to feel slightly displeased at my team’s current play with a 7-2 record.

I used to have a buddy that I watched Vols games with and if we were losing or tied, every play was a penalty on the other team. I don't watch games with him anymore. I don't care about the penalties, tonight, even if we had lost. I'll give you all the Bama game, but imo, it evens out, over the season. So NO need to cry about it all the time. Sorry if I hurt anybody's feelings, no I'm not. It's just exhausting
