This defense is a mirror image of all Tim Banks defenses prior to this year. The difference has been our pass rush has been so good it hid the pitiful secondary. It made the defense look a lot better than it was. When the refs allow the opponent to hold with impunity, that neutralizes what the defense does best. SEC knows this that's why they let them get away with it.

Imagine how many more yards and TDs he would have if they called every single one this year. And imagine how different the games would have been especially the two losses. Refs this year have been crooks. Not even just to us but around the whole country. Hard to overcome that and injuries on the oline, receivers and the qb playing injured through the first half of the season. Extremely frustrating to think about how different our season should be but let’s enjoy the win and watch the boys keep improving.

Turn our FG's into TD's and we win by a lot more and the outcome may have been different last week against Bama.
But , I'm going to enjoy this win.

Great team win for our guys! Love that we took the ball with 4:30 mins left and never gave it back. That’s a grown man way to end the game!

A lot of things we can do better. Just wish we would run some play action on 1st down when they are running 7 and 8 guys in the box. Another than that, I’m not gonna complain and just enjoy this road win.

I am. Love the W. Joe was good. Thornton showed up. Wright and Sampson are as good as you could hope for in RBs. Mincey was a warrior and Campbell fought through the injury.

Hate what Beck is probably going to do. Praying for miracles from the coverage gods against them and Mizzou. They need to let the LBs cover man on RBs and TEs when not blitzing because sitting down in zones 10-12 yards back from the LOS is not real pass defense.

He was great in 2021. 3400 yards, 35 TD’s, 5 INT’s. 66% completion. I’m not sure why he didn’t leave then. Can’t say I know the story.

It wasn’t great but it wasn’t terrible.
Leary made plays, their OL pass blocking was good, their receivers made plays.

Red zone offense still needs work. Needs better OL but that’s not happening this year so,

Red zone offense is terrible
Passing defense is terrible, uk passing game is bad
Too many dumb penalties
All of this is true and has been damn near all year cost us two losses and almost another tonight

Your an idiot or related to banks or CWM if you like our defensive secondary



You probably pass out winning ribbons to all participants if you think tonight’s play was awesome

Some may not admit it, but losing Hadden hurts. Even though he got called for a couple of PI’s early in the year, his coverage was fantastic.

I think that has had a lot to do with the oline. The left guard spot still isn’t the best. Feel like I’ve seen too many plays where that position gets manhandled on both runs and pass plays and coop/campbell are trying to overcompensate for the weakness there which causes a mess from time to time. Really need to hit that portal hard this offseason.

You allow holding and it kills any defense if the opponent has a competent QB and WRs. I've been pleasantly surprised that the defense has been able to dominate the run and get pressure on QBs even while being held for a good part of the year.

Our secondary is not playing as bad as people think either. Hurts losing Hadden who was one of best DBs in the country this year. It's difficult to cover for more than 3 seconds because the DL goes through periods when they can't get home because the zebras won't call holding.
